Easy and central .

The staff were very helpful and accomodating to our needs. When things werent up to standard they compensated us. I recommend this hotel.

Not bad for a budget hotel, basic amenaties, room was spacious and warm. Air Con made a racket though but fortunately didn't need it on that much. Breakfast was mediocre but it usually is in Holiday Inn Express. Good location though and staff were pleasant.

I didn't like it there was no water in the room to drink, there was no free parking, The receptionists don't know how to give adequate information.

Room was noisy from machinery / plant running. Ordered a starter and main course both came out together. The rolls with the soup were so hard you could cut then and the garlic bread with the main meal were like crisps.

Despite having a late checkout until 1.30pm and a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, there was frantic knocking at 11am. The housekeeping staff abruptly asked when I would be leaving and groaned when I told them. Additionally, there was a smell of smoke in the room. There is significant road noise. As it seems that guests are too much of an inconvenience for the housekeeping staff, do not stay here!

Excellent staff. Everyone smiling and friendly and always there to help. They could do with another member of staff at breakfast as they were extremely busy and couldn't keep up with requests from guests regarding shortages of everything from food to crockery and keeping the tables cleared. They work hard so give them some help to make things run smoother for guests! Well done to them all.

Very ameniable, great location for old and new town. Fantastic location for Lamex and station. Bang on really.

Stay for the evening after a late flight back into Stansted - room key didn’t work so had to go back to reception and following morning no breakfast food left and dirty tables everywhere - wouldn’t stay again

Check in was simple for our 2 night stay. Both days they seemed to struggle with breakfast keeping simple things like cutlery and cups available. Food was decent. 2nd night both keycards stopped working and reception was deserted, had to shout for someone to come. We werent the only ones with this issue. 2nd Morning Breakfast was v limited due to an oven breakdown. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Young man on reception when I checked in was very helpful and friendly. I found the room was cosy and comfortable.

Really good stay, rooms are comfortable, shower is brilliant! Only downside was breakfast, there were issues with the ovens so food was very slow to be replenished, no pastries and minimal hot food. Overall, would stay again

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express as we were going to a concert at Ally Pally and this was only 30 minutes away by train. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the girl who checked us in was very friendly and polite. I was staying with my friend and we were given 2 rooms on different floors. My friend"s room was on floor 2 and she said this was a little chilly, whereas mine on the 4th floor was lovely and warm. The rooms are quite basic but had everything you needed and a good amount of space. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely. The free breakfast was very good and a buffet style, so you could have as much or as little as you wanted. Although the hotel has no onsite parking, we parked in the Asda carpark, which was pretty much opposite ( a 5 minute walk, although did contain an underpass) and only cost £6 overnight; it was very convenient and a good price. All in all, we had a good stay and i would stay again if ever I am in the area.

Good people and a welcoming place, rooms are very clean with everything you need for a couple nights. Cant ask more for the price your paying.

Great location close to shops and transport links. My room was cleaned each day during my stay Breakfast was great plenty of options eat as much as you like.
