The staff was friendly and accommodating. The lobby was clean, but extremely warm and overly fragranced....if you have asthma...beware. My first room was on the first floor and was nice..although the hallway always smelled of cooking leftovers. My room on the 4th floor was nicer and the hallway smelled fine.

Overall good stay. Hotel and rooms were fairly clean. The room size is small. Even for a solo traveler, it was on the smaller end. The lobby always had welcoming staff but there was a very strong air freshener in the lobby. The 4th floor and room did smell a bit (moldy, damp smell). But overall still a positive experience.

We stayed here in mid-October on our honeymoon for one night. We had a very nice experience. We arrived at 930 am and the desk staff offered early checkin for approximately 40 pounds. It was very helpful to us - to check in and leave our bags so we could explore London. There is a lift, which was helpful. The staff were courteous, including a person manning the door nearly every time we came in and out. While the bed seemed small upon arrival - we found we had zero issues sleeping and it was quite comfortable. There is an AC unit in the room. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice.

Was a lovely hotel clean and well maintained. However needs soundproofing internally you can hear everything outside and everyone coming and going leaving through the lift. I couldn’t sleep it was so loud.

Pleasant staff (front desk, cleaning people, door man, everyone really)... Totally paper thin walls. My neighbor was singing from midnight to past 1 a.m. finally had to call the front desk on him. The area seemed to be far from anywhere i wanted to go to. Shower stall real small. I would rate the hotel as average but clean and professional.

The room was tiny, and made even smaller because of heavy, dark, oversized and ultimately unusable furniture. There was large bedside table with 3 drawers you couldn’t get to in an alcove and blocking access to the window to open the curtains. There was a heavy built in cupboard and a dresser, but no room to put your case. The room was clean and well maintained, but really needs smaller furniture to make it usable. I’ve stayed in other hotels with similar sized rooms which were lighter and brighter and didn’t leave me bruised from bashing into furniture. Good location. Nice area with restaurants and transport links. Hyde Park at the end of the street. I’d recommend the area and maybe the hotel but not the tiny single room.

Please Do Not Stay Here – Zero Flexibility or Compassion I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Hyde Park International was extremely disappointing. This hotel is not even an ounce accommodating when unexpected situations arise. Yes, I booked a nonrefundable stay through Expedia, but I could not have anticipated that my best friend’s father would suddenly not feel well and be unable to travel. Since their hotel only allowed three guests, I had booked a single room at the Hyde Park International. Once the situation changed, I reached out to Hyde Park International explaining everything and asked if they could offer any flexibility — a cancellation, partial refund, or even a future credit. The answer was a flat no. To avoid a complete loss, I checked in but did not stay the night, and when I followed up again to ask about checking out early or receiving a partial refund, the response was still no. Rose, the front desk manager, repeated that I should have contacted them earlier (even though I already had). Policies are policies, but compassion and customer service matter. This property showed none. If you choose to stay here, just be aware that they will not accommodate you under any circumstances. Book refundable if you want even the slightest flexibility.

Checking was awful. I booked with Amex Hotel Collection. Needn’t have bothered. Wasn’t even mentioned. Room not ready until AFTER main check in time so went to the bar to wait. And I couldn’t use my Amex credit until checked in. Donut cost me £100 to wait. Awful awful checking and Amex should be ashamed. Hotel was fine but not worth the premium. Just not special.
