Second this me staying here, this time for four nights. It was one of the best value options available over the busy August bank holiday weekend. I used the gym, which was a typical hotel gym with several good cardio machines and some cable weights, but limited free weights. The gym was always quiet and clean. Managed to work well in the lobby/coffee shop area for several hours. WiFi worked well there and in the room. We will definitely look at booking here again.

Staff were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean but could be improved by dusting and perhaps adding mattress protector on beds may help with hygiene and protect the comfy beds. We had a busy schedule attending a conference and stayed there 3 nights and we wanted to rest but the loud music was too much we couldn’t even enjoy going to get a drink in dining/ lounge area as it felt like a club. I do hope it was only because of the theme or event but perhaps pre warning us would have helped. Overall our stay was pleasant as it was so convenient to walk near most shops and takeaways and near parking and offered reduced rates for parking which was excellent.

The reception team were friendly and welcoming. Although they offer “daily housekeeping”, I noticed that housekeeping didn’t reset the room daily and missed out some days. The rooms are a great size, plenty surfaces and with large comfortable beds. The bathrooms are beautiful and modern, large and very clean. Not a particle of dust to be seen in the entire room. The windows open which is a nice touch and not often seen in hotels. The bathrooms have ample surface space for all your toiletries and more. The shower pressure could be better but it’s not terrible. It seems that the hotels system struggles with late check out requests as the card automatically expires at 11am even though I was given 12pm check out time meaning that if you need to get up to your room, you’ll need reception to escort you to your room which seems a bit odd. Overall, it’s a great hotel and I would recommend however with some areas they can improve in.

Friendly staff, but had to remind of VIP Access status, which they didn't know what it is at check-in. Was then told it "might be a 20% off food and drink voucher", but they didn't have any to take. Breakfast is not worth the money - very limited selection, breakfast cocktails heavily watered down. Rooms very tidy, but not cleaned properly (bin was left full from previous occupant, stains on carpet and curtains, hairs in bathroom and bed)

Affordable boutique hotel within easy walk of city centre. Large rooms, comfy bed, nice bathroom. Minor issue that the TV only has a handful of channels (not even full Freeview lineup) and lack of a mini fridge even in the King deluxe rooms which would be useful. As others have noted, rooms facing the elevated train tracks are noisy so best to avoid that side. The £17 parking a block away is much cheaper than other hotels in the area.

Food options were dissapointing for breakfast and meat choices looked undercooked and unappealing. They did have gluten free bread for toast. The single bed had no mattress cover on the single bed despite asking for one and the mattress was grubby. The disabled toilet was locked and I didnt have my key and there were queues at the desk… i was in great pain but had to get the lift to the 14th floor with grandson in tow because i needed the toilet. This feels discriminatory. The lamp by my bed didnt work. Most if the staff were very polite helpful and hardworking. Having said that there was a young man staff standing outside the building on frequent occasions smoking and in his phone whist the you g lady on the desk was very busy. Not a terrible experience but i thoight it would be better than premier inn and or travelodge but no contest sorry

I booked this trip for my partners birthday, as soon as I came in the door, check in took 2 minutes, staff were there for assistance if need be. We had breakfast and it was lovely, great selection and staff were very good. The hotel is in a perfect location and hotel has a screen to book Ubers and to plan some activities which is a plus. The room was very clean and spacious, bed is comfy. We came here for dinner, and the food was lovely. One thing I would say is the gym, it is not what was advertised, very small and it looked very different on the website. All staff are very good and always looking busy on their feet.

I had a very pleasant stay. The desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. I unexpectedly needed to add a second family member on my last night, and they switched me from a single king to a room with two doubles without hesitation and no additional charge. Also, the breakfast buffet was superb. The area around the hotel is historic and shows its age, but it is very walkable and has considerable options for dining, pubs and transportion. I would stay again.
