Great staff. The main building is in need of some refurbishing so it was pleasing to see a decorator at work. Room comfortable but view over the extractor fans less so

We’ve stayed at the Albrighton Hall a number of times. The hotel is very peaceful and set in lovely grounds. The rooms are a little dated however for the price point these seem fairly reasonable. We’d happily stay here again.

Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa promises luxury, but the reality is far from it. From broken facilities to shocking customer service, this stay was a disaster. The spa is in complete decline. The pool is freezing, tiles are missing, and the jacuzzi—one of the main reasons for booking—was out of order with no prior notice. Steam rooms reek of mould, floors are filthy, and the showers only offer freezing water. To make matters worse, staff abruptly switched off the lights while guests were still inside the steam room and cut off the showers before closing time, rather than politely informing guests. Exiting was dangerous—pitch-dark stairwells and a poorly placed disabled ramp created a serious hazard. Dinner was equally appalling. Our chips were served in a rusted dish, and when we pointed this out, staff casually admitted it was unacceptable but did nothing. The manager agreed it was dangerous, yet no action was taken. Other guests received refunds for their meals, but we were ignored. This once-luxurious spa is now a health hazard. From hygiene concerns to sheer negligence, it’s hard to believe this hotel is still operating. If you value safety, cleanliness, and basic service, avoid this place at all costs.

For a superior room, we were really disappointed . Bathroom sink was blocked when we arrived. The heating was broken and a bedside lamp didn’t work. There was also a wet patch on the carpet where there is clearly a leak under the floor. The room was tired and just looked shabby. I also found a speck of blood on one of the pillows.

Lovely overnight stay. Staff were helpful and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Some great period features in the main public areas, and nice setting.

Stayed for 1 night in a Junior Suite to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Pros: Modernised bathroom had a claw foot tub and a walk in shower, they even provided bath salts! The sauna, steam, aroma, and ice room were free for guests. Pool was at a comfortable temperature. There is a locker room for changing and rinsing off (bring a pound coin to use a locker). Junior suite was roomy and bed was comfortable. Staff were lovely, no complaints. Grounds were beautiful though we didn’t really get to explore Cons: Hot Tub was out of order - when reading other reviews it looked like the hot tub was out of order for other guests before us so not sure how long it has been/will be out of order. The Aroma room did not smell very nice and looked and smelled like it needed a bit of a scrub. I opened the window in the bathroom and there were dead flies crusted on the frame which means it hadn’t been cleaned or even looked at in awhile. The food at the bar was really expensive for what you receive, £14 for a pastrami sub (on the lunch menu) that was actually a very thin panini, came with a side salad which was fresh well dressed, but the sandwich was an absolute let-down (see photo). The hotel's restaurant requires pre-booking so prepare for where to eat before you go. The smart TV’s ‘smart’ features don’t quite work. While the bathroom was beautiful and modern, the room could have used some sprucing. Would I recommend to a friend: Yes, with some caveats.

Lovely building. Didn't use the spa so can't comment on this. Slept in the stable area, nice room but a bit cold despite heater being full on. Good bar menu.

Beautiful grounds, impressive exterior and wood panelled dining room. The rooms are spread out over various buildings and I guess some are better than others. The plumbing in the School Masters House needs a bit of love to remedy the pipes rumbling with every flush and the extreme undulations of water pressure in the shower resulting in 10 seconds of luke warm water followed by 10 seconds of freezing cold water and repeat. Certainly wakes you up in the morning!

Enjoyed our stay at Albrighton Hall. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Had to wait a while at the bar as there was nobody there. The staff were friendly.

Uninformed at booking restaurant wood be closed for most of January until arriving. Bar food was awful and overpriced. Had three rooms opposite all drugged up screaming and banging doors until 3 am with a barking dog! Rang reception who didn’t even bother answering. And in the morning when complaining didn’t really seem to care. AVOID

The staff in the restaurant were great, and the food in The Oak Restaurant was very good. The hotel in general feels a bit tired, but we had a pleasant stay.

Our room had no toilet paper and there was food crumbs all over the couch in the room. The safe didn’t work. There are no elevators and none of the staff ever asked to help with our very heavy bags and we were not on the ground floor. Bar staff got a little overwhelmed at one point and snapped as us say “I only have 2 hands” when we asked to have mustard on a ham sandwich we ordered. And the food was not the best. This was our second time staying here. Will most likely not ever book again.

Lovely stay but beware they allow dogs to stay and dont seem to have any rules. We had a poor dog left in the room next to us three evenings running that barked and cried the whole time ...

The hotel itself was great, however we had a massage booked in at 2.30, we had planned to then use the swimming pool and relax for a couple of hours after, unfortunately we were told that the spa was closing early and therefore couldn’t use the facilities, a bit annoying as we had planned this for a while, took the shine off unfortunately

Rather disappointing. Receptionist was not helpful on arrival. Took us 15 mins to find our room. Was not offered the option to use our credit card on our room. Discovered that after ordering drinks with no means of payment. Visited the pool. Completely overtaken by families with children which I have no problem with usually but the fact u could not swim in an adult designated area was not relaxing. The children were also in and out the sauna, steam and ice rooms. The waiting staff were lovely although our food was delayed as our order had not been given to the kitchen. Overall a disappointing stay and not what I was expecting.

We really enjoyed our one night weekend stay. The hotel is set in lovely grounds- Reception staff very friendly. We enjoyed a large room overlooking the grounds. Great bar and dining experience. The Spa facilities were an added bonus. We would definitely revisit if in the area.
