we did have a connecting door to the next room and could hear the occupants talking.

This is a fantastic oasis for travellers to rest, recuperate and be looked after. The welcome i received was warm, friendly and kind. Was given all the info i needed for my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch to have fresh milk available for guests and any bits and bobs they need / have forgotten. I ate dinner and breakfast. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from and the food is wonderfully tasty. I thoruoghly enjoyed my stay. Thank you to all the staff who work hard to make this place so good.

Nice room and pleasant staff . Very good breakfast ,
Only thing that tainted our stay was the dog was not allowed to eat in restaurant and we were directed to the bar or outside . Neither was an option as the bar was packed due to sport and outside was cold . So no evening meal . Some leniency on our dog in restaurant would have been appropriate given the situation .

Breakfast looked simple but then they brought out the full breakfast and it was exceptional.

Warmth welcome. Comfortable beds, warm shower, clean room, towels provided, refreshments in room such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Breakfast included, cerals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, fruit juice, tea/coffee and choices of cooked breakfast.
