Radisson Blu Hotel, London Bloomsbury

It has been a few years between stays at this hotel and, whilst the look and feel of the hotel has been maintained to a high standard, the same cannot be said for the service. Arriving early, our room was understandably not available. So, we went through the check-in process and left our luggage with the receptionist. Upon returning later, staff could not initially find our luggage and it took a while for them to be located. Furthermore, when completing the check-in process to collect our room key, the receptionist took a substantial amount of time, remaining silent throughout. Not until I asked if there was a problem did the receptionist state she was having problems finding our reservation, despite the fact we had gone though the check-in process earlier in the day. The whole process of collecting our luggage and being given our room key took nearly 15 minutes, with no explanation and no apology. As the bedroom, the king room was a good size and the bed was comfortable, although we had to request additional pillows as there was only one per person in the room on our arrival. The en-suite was a very good size, however, the shower head was so low that as a 6ft man I had to crouch down to not hit my head on it. Also, the crazy position of the towel rail means you can reach towels from the shower. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of choices and of a high standard.

Great customer service. Excellent breakfast. We also had a very good experience dinning at the hotel, the tapas and Mediterranean food at the onsite restaurant were great. Good location, very near the British Museum. We arrived early to the hotel, before check in time, but we were promptly offered a room that was ready. The first room offered was of small size although it had a king bed. They were able to change us to a larger room that we enjoyed. The only thing I did not like on this hotel was the bed mattress, it was too hard for me, but I understand that many people preferred it like that and it was only for two nights. Overall our stay was very pleasant.

Concierge was super helpful and friendly! All the staff was very hospitable. This hotel is centrally located for anyone sightseeing London.

Booked a premium room but received a standard one. When checking in we were given free breakfast but just thought this was a lovely gesture until we go to the room and found it wasn’t to the booking I made. Went to reception to be told it was a premium room but it simply wasn’t but then told there’s no other rooms available so offered a 20% discount to allow for this - I was trying to be fobbed off - politely may I add - that had a premium room which annoyed me especially the price we paid for it. People were polite and friendly throughout. No shower gel in shower so had to get this sorted again done efficiently and politely but why none in the first place beggars belief.

Good location within easy walk to Covent Garden. Room was a good size, clean and well decorated. Unfortunately the location of the room did make it noisy during the night, and the loud music from rickshaws blaring out didnt help either. However despite this i would still recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Communal areas lovely and feel new and clean,unfortunately rooms are tired and need updating, bathroom had loose tiles.

This Raddison Blu is conveniently located and has a good breakfast. It is steps from the British Museum. The Bloomsbury Kitchen has good offerings. We staid in a studio suite and while it was a larger room, the furnishings were tired. The bathroom is large but the shower is small and slippery. The TAS Restaurant which is kitty corner has great Turkish food!

Very convenient to shopping, dining, public transformation. Clean and convenient location. Staff who checked us in was friendly. Dining staff needs improvement. Breakfast was the same everyday. Wish there was a little variety. Room cleaning service was good. Difficult to figure out electrical component in room. Otherwise positive experience. Nothing VIP about it.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu London Bloomsbury this past Sunday and had an absolutely perfect experience from beginning to end. From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, we were treated like family. Zubin, the front of house manager, was nothing short of incredible. After a long day of driving into London, we were greeted with such warmth and care—it truly made all the difference. Zubin is one of the most genuine and kind people we’ve ever met. His attentiveness and service went above and beyond anything we expected. He’s a true asset to the hotel. Our room had beautiful views of the city and was spotless and stylish. The location is unbeatable, breakfast was excellent, and the bar manager even gave me a glass of Moët to celebrate Mother’s Day—a lovely and thoughtful touch! Everything about our stay was perfect. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Highly recommend!
