My 3-night stay in January was nothing short of wonderful. My room was extremely well appointed and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The restaurant food was excellent both for breakfast and dinner and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location for me was great as I had family in Colne and we did some travelling to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This characterful hotel, built originally in 1725, is in the countryside' with a view of the famous Pendle Hill, but is a reasonably short ride from Central Colne. It is highly recommended.

The Alma is set in beautiful surrounding just a 10 min down hill walk ftom a village or 5 mins in the car into a town but you feel like your away from everything The staff are all very helpful and cant do enough for you choice of food is good ( if your wanting a great sunday roast get there early as the had run out at 4pm) just pre order your sunday roast wine and coktails are reasonably priced . On that note this is why we repeat visit once a month to re-couperate and take time out to chill . Go on treat yourself especilly in winter as its a bargain

It’s the second time we’ve stayed. The first time in July so it was lovely to see a period Inn decked out for Christmas. We met with locally placed relatives for dinner which was lovely. Staff all friendly, especially Yvonne who does the breakfast shift and settled our bill. The Inn has great views and an enjoyable experience overall.

Lovely stay at the Alma Inn. Room, food, atmosphere were great and the staff lovely. Particular praise for the young man serving us drink on the Saturday evening. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service.

Great stay, all staff were very friendly. This place is super dog friendly (I actually think nearly everyone in the building had a dog) During our evening meal one item on the menu was not quite right and they quickly sorted it out for us. The food was delicious too, including breakfast. The room was spotless and a lovely view across the valley.

Rural location minutes out of Colne centre. Impressive characterful mullion windowed property on two floors with excellent 1entrance and bar area. Plenty of seating for diners inside and out. Good menu on pricey side though. Venue for weddings and parties. Steep staircase to upper floor.

Lovely pub on the outskirts of Colne and Laneshawbridge with easy access for the Dales and the moors around Skipton. Clean and comfortable accommodation, and tasty food. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a flying visit to my home town and we very much enjoyed our one night stay. The Alma is rustic Inn with lovely views and very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful and the dinner was delicious. Being on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border it was an amusing touch to have the room keys on cricket balls.
