The Butterfly Hotel - Group Weekends

Great hotel, budget friendly, clean, friendly staff, really good location.

Dont ever stay here in the winter months. I came home and had to be treat for mild hypothermia it was that cold in the room i stayed in. They had the radiator on for 10 mins a day telling us they can't afford the heating bill. Even with the heating on the room is like been outside. Winsows need checking and the walls because no warmth. Its that frezzing cold. Ive reported to trading standards. Couldnt bare the 2nd night so we changed hotel to one around the corner. Which was lovely and warm with the heating on. Was shocking here!

It was not clear from the advert that there was no ground floor accommodation. I made it clear in the special request section that this was booked for one of our vulnerable service users who has poor mobility and could not manage stairs. We had a carer travelling from Kent with her as a holiday of a lifetime, the service user has learning disabilities. When they arrived after a long train journey it was quickly apparent that the accommodation was not suitable. The stairs were not manageable. She was booked to stay for 4 nights, the carer asked nicely if there was an option for a refund as they would need to find alternative accommodation, given the fact there was no ground floor rooms. The proprietor said we would need to contact hotels.com as he could not honour the refund without them. I contacted hotels.com straight away as they were now stranded. hotels.com said they would get in touch with the butterfly hotel. Due to the fact that butterfly hotel did not answer their phone calls no refund has been available. They also could not help with alternative accommodation, meaning i had to search myself. Our service user has now had to foot the bill for two hotels. Given the situation I would have expected some compassion and at the very least a voucher or discount on another stay! Absolutely disgraced at the lack of support. Will not be recommending hotels.com or the butterfly hotel.

Reasonable price,basic room.

Great location.. friendly staff greeted us on arrival. Room had plenty room to walk round bed. En suite was spacious size. Great size mirror for wife to use.. will definitely be staying here again..

Nice clean hotel , great parking and very central

Great friendly service, nice standard hotel in Blackpool. Room was showing a bit of age with some peeling wallpaper and a spot of mould in the ceiling above the shower but nothing terrible for the price Bed was very soft but in a slightly uncomfortable way. For the price we paid, great hotel, ensuite in our room and everything worked as it should Would definitely stay again

Wonderful welcome as we walked through the door, greeted with smiles off both owners and very helpful offering info on things to do while we were there. Hotel was very clean and cosy. Will definitely book again!

Great central base to explore Blackpool, ideal for a group of friends.

The positive : staff was very friendly and helpful. The negatives : The bed was incredibly uncomfortable- mattress should have been replaced years ago and the springs are basically coming through. Possibly the worst nights sleep I have had in a hotel ever. Facilities in the room were poor - no tv, no coffee making facilities, Shower was poor. The hotel said on Hotels.com that there was parking available which is not true. Took us hours to find parking far away and had to move during the night to another overnight parking. The hotel should not advertise they have parking available when they don’t and it’s up to you to find a public space. This stay was not cheap @ £100. If it was £35 a night I would have still felt cheated.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and warm, only down point of our stay was the group of very noisy lads staying there, but the staff did attempt to keep them under control, overall a nice place to stay.

£100 double room £120 double room with breakfast hotels.com you advertised this on your website we booked £120 double room with breakfast so we didn't have to mess about queuing for breakfast at cafes with all this social distancing and guess what just been conned the hotel does not do breakfast why would you pay more not to get breakfast it very disappointing

place is in a good location and very friendly staff!! It has a super charming character but could be cleaned up a bit and radiator in my room didn’t seem to work (not great since it was pretty cold). Overall unbeatable for the price and a fun place to stay for a night!

Lovely hotel, clean and welcoming. Sam and Michelle made us feel so welcome.

The hotel was very central and easy to find. It was pleasantly decorated and my room was lovely. Had a great sleep. Staff were very friendly too. Id definately come back. Didn't get a chance to say goodbye before I left so thank you i had a great stay x

Sam & Michelle were great. Really friendly & the room was nice. It's a new business 18 months old, so rooms are warm and fresh with new carpets and painting. I can't comment on the Breakfast because they were having their annual gas service. I was informed about this in advance & was compensated for a breakfast that i had in a cafe. Thanks girls, i'll be back in 2018 & sample a breakfast next time! :-)
