The Cliff Hotel

Lovely friendly staff, room was immaculate. Food on the restaurant and the cocktails were delicious and great value for money. The only thing I could say that is negative is that maybe the fan in the room needs updating. Thanks for an amazing service.

The accommodation and staff were wonderful. Only disappointment was asked for sea view and balcony. Not avery good view, and pipes in front of balcony were very noisy.

Lovely stay at Cliff Hotel for the weekend and a really good price for an overnight stay in the summer small but comfortable room, very clean and bed very comfortable. No complaints at all and definitely will be back.

Had a great stay.. staff are all so kind and helpful second time we have been , be back soon .one thing I must say I do think 2 staff members should do the breakfast as it was busy and tables were not being cleared and cleaned in time for the next group of people to appear, and maybe a little bit more staff training in that area other than that fantastic thank you.

The lady on reception was really helpful and welcoming ! Went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our room.

Great customer service attended to my requests and speedy reply to messages. Room was clean and comfortable. Terrace is a lovely place to sit and relax overlooking the sea as well as enjoying food and drinks with friends. All bar staff were lovely and friendly. Food was lovely too.

2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and it did not disappoint. Its a beautiful hotel with easy and very close access to the beach and a few family friendly bars/eating places. Our family room was a really good size and very clean. There are tea, coffee, biscuits and water in the room. There are no lifts so not ideal if you have mobility problems, but someone will help with carrying your bags up the stairs if you need help. Reception staff were lovely, really friendly, and the lady who facilitates breakfast cannot do enough for you, even though she overlooks the breakfast area alone. All were brilliant with our two young grandchildren. Bar staff were all young but efficient and most were again friendly. Prices for drinks and food are slightly high but you expect this in a nice hotel. Food was lovely and you had a good portion. My negative point was the reaction of two of the bar staff when I helped myself to the bbq sauce and tomato sauce for our little grandchildren to have with their meal. The person i had asked to bring the sauces forgot as she was so busy, which was fine, but to approch me as i was putting the sauces back saying what are you doing was not fine, then to have a 2nd member of staff come over and say to her what was she doing, pass me those sauces i will put them back here, was to me down right rude. Overall we had a lovely 2 day stay and will definitely return to this hotel.

Exceptionally friendly staff, quiet beautiful views

Having booked a sea view room with balcony, we were somewhat disappointed to find that outside of our room was the kitchen extraction fan & ductwork. We therefore rejected this room but unfortunately the hotel, being fully booked for the night of the 27th May for the one night we remained insitu. Having requested to be moved the following day without fuss, we were moved to a second floor room which was perfect for the remainder of our stay. The hotel even moved our possessions themselves after we had packed them up! The breakfast is first class with a very good selection of cooked food and served with panache by ?

We went for lunch and to stay and everything was perfect. The lunch was delicious and good value, the room was great and breakfast was very good. Every member of staff was excellent as was the service they provided. We wi be going back and look forward to it.

It was all good from start to checking out will return hopefully

Very good lovely room and lovely view, good food and a lovely breakfast staff couldn’t do enough

The view from our room was lovely. We could see the beach and also the harbour. The shower was a little difficult for me as it's over the bath but I managed quite well once I got used to it. The terrace seating is lovely.

Location and the food was good, and the staff worked hard and were very pleasant. However the room we were given was very small very basic and in need of upgrading. Which was a bit disappointing. Also the floor boards and stairs were very creaky, and the cornice, and decorative mouldings needed repairs. But apart from those points, we enjoyed our stay.

Very good, would use again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cliff hotel. It was freshly redecorated everywhere and very clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable with complimentary tea/coffee. The service was average but a lovely waitress at breakfast made up for it. Gluten free bread and oat milk were available. The outside spaces were very pleasant with nice views. The food was average.
