The Limes

Lovely place and nice environment. Good service, excellent breakfast. Paul and Jill are fabulous hosts. My son already asking me that we need to book The Limes again for our next trip if we come to Visit York again.

Stayed at the Limes due to working in the area for a few days; great location for getting to the racecourse, parking was ample and the host was fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly, truly made you feel at home and recommended some local eateries for us to try. Would definitely recommend and would 100% stay again.

Conveniently positioned for access to town with small car park, room 1 was comfortable. Shower didn't seem to get very hot. Wasn't clear on arrival but became evident the next morning that our booking didn't include breakfast (nor did anyone's it seems!). This is more the fault of Hotels.com, as I always filter with 'breakfast include' - evidfently the small print must say you have to specifically ask for it (and pay extra?). However, several nearby cafes so all in all not a bad stay.

Satisfactory stay. Good location for us, nice walk into the city by the river. A bit old fashioned. WiFi worked but weak. Bed very soft.

Very good clean room. Hotel.com website states room only but breakfast could be paid at hotel. Hotel's own website mentions breakfast. No breakfast was available.... We were referred to local cafe a good 10 min walk which wasn't open on Sunday. Hotel had no bar No staff and No lift. How does this justify a 4 star rating

Lovely big, characterful house. Service with a style. Fantastic Yorkshire breakfast with a fuall range of cereals and conserves.

Great location next to bus stop so could get into town easily, free parking on-site, lovely staff, clean rooms with tea and coffee etc, fab breakfast....we will definitely cone back!

Nice large room, modern spacious en-suite, on site parking. Short 25 minute walk into York city center or convenient bus route. Great breakfast and friendly host.

Room, staff and breakfast were all very good.

Had a warm welcome when we arrived, room was spacious and clean. Lovely clean bathroom, with toiletries and clean towels. Breakfast was amazing, cater for all types, and with us being vegetarian, was not disappointed!! Fire alarm works, as some one had been vaping, and set it off. The staff were amazing. Nice to know you are safe.
