The Old Store Guest House

We were there only one night, but everything was effortless. The communications were perfect, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. I can't say anything negative about the guesthouse.

Amy and Matt were fabulous hosts and the room was spotless, well appointed and cosy. Very close to Goodwood hotel and house, a short walk through the fields of just under a mile gets you a great dinner at Farmer, Butcher, Chef, as we did. The breakfast at The Old Store is absolutely knockout!

Such a lovely quaint B&B . My husband stayed here the night before our wedding 12 years ago, we returned for a valentines treat and it did not disappoint. Beautifully renovated, clean and easy check in processes. Breakfast was lovely. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. 100% recommend

The host was hospitable, friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring Chichester, the South Downs and the coast. Our room was comfortable. Perhaps the lighting could have been improved.

Simple check-in procedure and freedom to manage your own stay. Excellent comfortable and clean room with a great shower. Wasn't able to stay for breakfast but it looked like a great choice was offered. Will go back.

Beautiful appointed cottage style guest house. 6 rooms on 3 floors. Lovely owners. Its warm, friendly, like a 'big warm hug'. Highly recommended.

Wow! Another one for our little book if fabulous places to stay. So close to Goodwood, which was the reason for our visit. Perfect bolt hole to relax and refresh ourselves after a day at the motor racing track. Clean. Fresh. Fabulous breakfast. 10 out of 10! Thank you.

This is a classic bed and breakfast, good food, great hosts, comfortable bed, good location (for me), free car parking available, nice little touches (fresh milk for your tea & coffee in room). When in the area I will be back!

My partner and Ibloved staying here! The Old Guest House is such a sweet property and the interiors are all really nicely decorated and neatly finished. We were so chuffed that a standing fan was included in the room, and equally impressed with how quiet it was - essential during the Summer. The hosts are super helpful and supply a handy guide upon arrival. Its important to note that, they are also on-hand to help with queries before your visit too. To add to this, you can tell that the businesses in Halnaker really support each other and the small village definitely has that community feel! Overall, we'd both happily stay here again, and highly recommend the tasty breakfasts and cosy beds!!

We had a great stay! Quiet and clean. Breakfast was great. The entire property was tastefully decorated and atmosphere was superb. Plenty of parking for the amount of guests. Easy check-in. The only recommendation would be to ensure heating is on when the temperature outside is at single degrees... Did not have our heating on the second evening as we came back, so we were shivering for a few hours before the heating went on. Would have also preferred a quieter stay, though this is a little out of everyone's hands. Walls and floors are thin, we could hear every stomp through the night which kept us awake.

I had a lovely stay, the room was very comfortable spotless and spacious. Great added comforts such as fresh hot cross buns available. Very accommodating people!
