Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, rooms were clean and a good size, and perfect location for a couple of nights away.

This boutique hotel is so cute. The rooms are spacious and comfy. The staff is amazing! Joy crushed the morning breakfast service with multiple tables on top of people checking out. The pub is a hopping place for locals and tourists a like, and you don't hear it in the rooms above. It is amazing how the bar staff works the bar and does the check-ins at the same time. The location is convenient and the staff is great at recommending activities and dining around the area. I will be back.

We stayed one night at the Southern Belle during a quick weekend trip to Brighton. The property itself was convenient and the room was generous in size and well decorated. We were positioned on the 1st floor, which was directly above the pub, and very loud late into the night. There was loud dance music playing until 1:05am, at such a high volume that I could identify every song being played. In addition to the music, there was general noise from the pub patrons and staff, which kept us awake until the early hours of the morning. When we went down for the included breakfast, we were told that the cook didn't show up that morning and that we could help ourselves to coffee and toast. They eventually got another cook to come in more than an hour after breakfast started, so we did order some pancakes but they arrived uncooked with each of us getting one pancake which was still completely liquid in the centre. The location and the room itself were very nice, but the experience with the noise and basic services not being offered did make our overall experience quite negative.

The southern belle is a lovely hotel with fantastic food and drink too, we were lucky to have some food on the evening as well as a superb full english breakfast. Accommodation is a high standard and very comfortable with everything you need. The staff are very friendly with smiles on their faces making this a hotel I would definitely return too.

A lovely little pub with excellent sevice.... employees were extremly friendly.... i had a special breakfast made up for me as i was running the marathon and wow what a breakfast. My husband stayed to have a cooked breskfast and was very impressed. There were a variety of tea bags in the room, but i eould of liked a normal tea. Plenty of coffee for the other half.... lovely size room snd bathroom. I would most definitely stay here again.....

Well appointed bedroom, stylishly decorated. Lovely breakfast and food in restaurant good. Quieter location , 20 minute walk to the centre. Friendly helpful staff. Would certainly recommend.

Lovely accommodation on top of a pub. The room was lovely and very clean. The bathroom was spotless and the shower very nice. A very comfortable stay even if the room was a bit hot during the night (they provide a modern fan). Our room was on the top floor, we could still hear music and patrons from the pub until 11ish during the weekend, quiet after that.

Lovely boutique hotel seconds from the seafront! A 20 minute walk from the station or to the lanes and it's right by the BA i360 viewing tower. The hotel, room and the bar were all spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Lovely little pub on the ground floor. The only negatives we experienced was the one window in the room only opened a small way and the room was very hot at night, but a fan is supplied so that was helpful. Unfortunately breakfast was a bit of a disaster, we waited at least 45 minutes and then my breakfast was mistakenly given to another customer, when it did finally arrive my husband had long finished eating his! Other then that, it's a great boutique hotel, hopefully the breakfast issue was just a 'one off' and we wouldn't experience it again.

Lovely boutique hotel especially for little pups. We loved it all but would like to see all the small plastic bottles / coffee pods removed from the room. Thanks for having us.

Lovely, well located little hotel with beautiful,clean interiors. Our room was gorgeous and the bed was ultra comfortable. Great walk in shower. Breakfast was delicious. Service a little slow but that’s the only negative and it was worth waiting for. Will definitely return.

Lovely stylish room and bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Only reason for not giving top mark is that room was very warm, though really appreciated that fan was already in situ when we arrived on a hot September day. Air conditioning would have made it perfect! Parking is difficult. Found a residents space after 8pm and but must move car at 9.

The Southern Belle is a beautiful place to stay, so near the sea. The rooms are chic and very comfortable, spotlessly clean. There is no air conditioning, but we had a lovely powerful fan. The staff were so welcoming and the bar downstairs is the perfect place for a nightcap.

The pub is great with a brilliant atmosphere. New rooms are very lovely. We had an old one. Bit smelly, sheets had a few stains on and in need of some TLC but I understand this is the next project. Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast Christmas day wasn't great but improved on boxing day.

Amazing stay. I would highly recommend The Southern Belle to any couple who want a weekend away. Great location and simple delicious breakfast in the morning.Next time I visit Brighton I will be staying here again.
