Location is ideally placed in town and close to railway station. First impressions ok , restaurant food was good, however the rooms are not that great. Also I had no hot water and I heard others saying the same. Response was we got an air lock! Not sorry for the inconvenience

Staff were all very welcoming and very friendly from start to finish.
Room sizes are small. Very overlooked by neighbouring properties. Bathroom windows had clear glass not frosted. Meant I had to be very cautious about showering and changing. Rooms are not air conditioned. It is not possible to lock the main door inside which mean room security only relies on the key operation from the outside. Very unusual by currrent hotel security standards.
Otherwise room was clean and shower and toiletries all good. Refreshment tray well stocked.
Shame the delivery van arrives at 7:30am trundling trollers across the cobbles.

Clean with very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to provide exceptional service.
Good breakfast but supper could have been better with poor (re-heated?) vegetables and an over-sweet and dry, not very sticky, toffee pudding.
The interior was modern and comfortable but not what I expected and would have preferred from an old coaching inn.
I found the bed a bit hard but my wife was comfortable.
A maintenance man hanging around the busy receptionist for a very long time did no favours for either her or the hotel.

Staying was good but when we checking out time 6aclock we was trying to hand over key no body was on the counter after looking everywhere we found the person outside smoking actually we was hurry to go So I m really nt happy with dis service and also if we filled up everything when we booked the room why the lady asked to give the account no again and also when we arived they delayed to give the key so I m really nt happy with dis service anyway thank u very much

Really nice place to stay, rooms are really nice with everything you could need. No A/C but it is winter and that doesn't worry me. Its an old building so assume it will be cool in the summer.
The breakfast was top notch, a little wait but that's because its all cooked fresh which is fantastic. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
If I was being critical, the only thing I would say is that behind the reception desk was quite messy and there was a big parcel on the floor in front of the desk. That is me being hugely critical and I probably caught them just after a delivery. I really like the hotel and will definitely be back, highly recommend.
