We’ve just got back for a lovely 3 night stay at The Vikings Accommodation. The accommodation was easy to find travelling from North Wales and on first impressions from outside it looked great. They give you a code for the door to get into the building when you arrive and then issue you with a key fob which makes it very easy to come and go as you please. We stayed in room 1 on the first floor which was the Deluxe Kingsized bedroom with en-suite. The room was spotless and the Viking themed cushions and throws were a lovely touch. We had nice white fluffy towels on the end of the bed and they put some chocolates on top which I thought was a very nice gesture. The room had a kettle and coffee maker and there was Yorkshire tea bags, sugar, UHT milk pots, coffee capsules and biscuits. Mugs and spoons were on a little tray underneath the kettle. The room was lovely and warm as the heating was on but if you get too hot there is also a fan that you can just plug in next to the bed. On the ground floor is a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen which you are free to use whilst you are staying there. There’s a big American style fridge freezer, microwave, saucepans, frying pans all kitchen utensils and a sink to wash up after yourself with tea towels and sponges as well. Jamal was lovely and made sure our stay was good. He gave my husband some great ideas of places to go and things to see and told us the best way to get there etc. Overall very pleased with our stay 😊

A great experience, good communication around check in, lovely clean and well appointed room. Lots of great touches, nice big towels, very good hairdryer and chocolates on the pillows! A great nights stay!

The room was clean and cozy. The staff were nice and friendly. Checking in and out was very easy. It was nice and quiet and fery dog friendly. Super chill.

The room was lovely, comfy beds & nice bathroom. The host was lovely, so helpful & friendly. Hotel is in a brilliant location, quiet so not disturbed in the night but only a 10min walk from the centre. Highly recommend this accommodation and will book again if coming to York.

Lovely British style hotel. A little far from York station to walk if with big luggage but close to city center. Host was very kind and helpful, kitchen was really nice to cook some simple foods

Excellent stay at the Hotel, the owner was Excellent very friendly and helpfull. I would highly recommended this sort stay in York, the distance to tge center is on the door step. The room was great, quiet clean, beds were great.

Great stay very comfortable bed. Love that you can help yourself to more tea coffee and sugar and that you could have free use of the kitchen. Very close to city centre too. Would stay here again

The room was clean & it served it's purpose.

It was quite dusty and felt unclean overall. Also, the shower drain didn’t work. Lastly, the single bed in our room was very old with visible coils seen through the sheets. Disappointed with this stay and wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Perfect for our two-night stay in York. Easy walk to the city center and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Guest House! Owner was very professional and took the time to highlight key areas on a map for us. The room was clean and very well kept. The key tourist areas of York were all within walking distance. I would highly recommend Vikings Guest House to anyone looking to stay in York.
