Solo Sokos Hotel Torni

Room was immaculate and super comfortable. Perfectly balanced for what could have seemed like a smaller space. Would stay here every time in Helsinki.

The stay was perfect from start to finish. The room was spotless amd well appointed The shower was strong and delightful The slippers amd robes were excellent Breakfast was varied and tasty and tje price was good for the quality received. Plus the view from the rooftop bar is must see. Drinks are excellent too.

Great central location

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a great choice for breakfast including its own gluten free bar. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My only negative point is the lifts; they are very small. Two go to the very top and an old fashioned on only goes to floor 5. These lists are used by customers and staff so if it’s housekeeping morning it takes forever to go anywhere! Other than that, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Hotel is in a great location, and was surprisingly quiet considering it was a busy area. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if in Helsinki.

Great views from the top floor. The room was small, but we were offered a larger one on a lower floor, which was appreciated. It did get very warm, and without air con, we had to keep the blinds shut during the day to manage the heat as we had no air-con. Breakfast was great — plenty of options and good quality.

Nice hotel in a great location. Rooms are a little sterile, but decent. Lighting system could be improved. One switch turns on all lights in the room. It would be nice to have a switch that just turns in the ceiling lights, instead if having to turn off all the lamps in the room. Decent gym for a hotel.

The only thing i have to say is that the AC situation wasn't the greatest. The controls were a bit different and it wasn't clear how to regulate the temp in the room. Then when the fan or AC (again wasn't clear) turned on, once it reached the lowest temp available of 19.0 degrees it shut off and then would reset back to 21 or 22. Again, maybe it was user error, but i didn't find any instructions on this. I opened the windows most nights, but depending on which night you're staying (Saturday was the worst), you could will be exposed night club traffic and people yelling and just being drunk until 5 am in the morning and not get any sleep. If you don't have to open the window, you should be fine. In addition to that, the duvet was something used in the winter time. I kept waking up bathed in my own sweat almost every night. They were able to give me a lighter duvet, but it was still too heavy and didn't make much of a difference. I asked for a fan, but apparently that was not an option. Aside from this, the hotel staff is great, the accommodations are excellent as well. Very updated, great bathrooms, plenty of water pressure, large closets for all your clothes and luggage. Great breakfast and a lot of at restaurants in walking distance as well. The hotel is situated in an area with lots of Asian cuisine, which i enjoyed. Very close to public transportation which is very easy to use via the HSL app. There is a lot of history in this hotel and it was a great experience.
