Stopped here passing through from Spain to Calais.
Room was a good size with adequate heating, and dog friendly. Very idyllic and typically French. On site restaurant was good French cuisine but expensive. Not sure there is anything else nearby. , but we enjoyed it and would definitely stop off here again.

Very nice setting. Beautiful location. Needs a bit of updating in infrastructure. Opening and closing the bathroom door makes a lot of noise

Great place to stay in the country side the pool is great the patroon is a very nice helpful man and goes out of his way to help. the restarante is great the chef realy knows how to cook. all nice and peaceful

A charming country hotel. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom modern and spacious. We used the hotel as an overnight stop travelling north. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing.

Lovely place with character. Friendly and helpful staff. Minor points shower Was not completely separated in the room. Bottle of water in the room would have been a nice touch if not tea making facilities.

Last minute booking on the way to Spain. A very pleasant surprise as the hotel is in an old castle. Nice courtyard and nice French style breakfast. Friendly staff and easy parking. Just a few minutes from the toll road so easy to go back on the next day. Quiet and room had Wifi and A/C

We last stayed 15 years ago and there have been good changes unde new management who seem keen on the up market image. Apparently booked for weekend weddings almost continuously. Restaurant is in same building run as a separate business and is equally up market - a bit expensive - but very good in an area not full of good alternatives.
Convenient for what we wanted or for business in Niort or for exploring the Marais Poitevin wetland and wildlife area.

The grounds of the converted chateau were really nice but couldn't find any cafe bars nearby. Restaurant in the hotel was very good. Stopped overnight on the way to Seville and was perfect for that.

First time at this hotel, booked three superior rooms with the family for an overnight stay, and all Rooms were first class, staff very helpful and friendly, it would have been more helpful if we spoke more French. Rooms were very clean and spacious, breakfast has a good choice and very well presented. The grounds are pleasant with seating area to relax, wish we had more time to enjoy the swimming pool, we all had a evening meal in the restaurant, the food was presented first class and cooked to order, children made very welcome and would stay here again.

Used as a 1 night stopover on the way to Spain, lovely large building and rooms, and able to park directly outside the room which was very useful. Didn't get chance to use the facilities but they looked nice.
