Hotel Athanor

Great location and nice space.

We booked a superior twin which was actually two rooms which could have slept 4. 2 in large singles and 2 on a double sofa bed. The rooms were functional and basic. The breakfast which was included was very good. Freshly baked bread and hot food options, cereals, meats and cheese. The location was excellent in the centre of Beaune, in summary, very good value for money, recommended at the price, would go again.

Our second stay here in 8 days. We keep coming back as its the perfect place to break our journey - very comfortable beds, easy and cheap on street parking just a few paces away, lovely town with lots of restaurants to choose from.

Loved the location and character of Hotel Athenor. Yes the rooms are a bit awkward but its a very old bldg and full of charm. Our only quibble was they do not provide or even sell morning coffee unless you pay for a full breakfast. My wife and I dont typically eat breakfast so we had to walk a block or two each morning to find take out coffee. Still, we loved Beaune and all it had to offer.

Convenient to sights, dining and shopping within Beaune. Evening reception staff was really helpful. Good point to stay in the region.

The hotel is in bad condition and old fashion

The hotel was ok for the price although the staff were a little surly. The shower didn’t drain properly and flooded the bathroom within minutes so it wasn’t possible to shower. I reported it to the staff but no action was taken.

Hotel was easy to find, check-in was very straight forward and friendly. Rooms were brilliant, the aircon was an absolute godsend! We will certainly be back for future overnight stop overs passing Beaune!

Villa Beaupeyrat had some good things going for it and some not so good things. Positives: - Great location, easy walk to town (5-8 minutes) - Complementary Parking - Beautiful Grounds and quiet neighbourhood. - Coffee pods for every day of the stay - Stocked kitchen with all amenities (although we ate out) - Great outside space for aperitifs and breakfast - Living room couch and chairs were comfy Areas for improvement: - Sheets were scratchy - No fans in any of the rooms for air circulation (and no AC) - Outdoor table and chairs were wonderful to enjoy a little aperitif, however ours were fiberglass and very itchy on our skin. We had to cover them with our jackets in order to sit. Other apartments had metal chairs / tables which would have been better. Negatives: - couldn't open windows for air (they were double windows and the first one impeded the 2nd window opening fully for air) - we were on the ground floor and windows opened directly to street with no screens or protection so we had to leave them closed. - our room smelt of fresh paint which was very overwhelming. Due to not being able to leave any doors or windows open while we were exploring the city, it was hard to clear the space of the smell of paint. Hard to rate service as there is no on-site staff or individuals to speak to. Overall we enjoyed our stay but with a few small changes (fans!) it would have been an even better one.

Central location with a great car park at the end of the road. Great choice of restaurants. We love Beaune!

Love everything about Beaune. Staying on a friday night caused a problem with parking overnight as Saturdays are Market Day so we had to park outside the centre and walk with our bags..not so easy when you're disabled but the beauty of Beaune made up for it.

The hotel is in a good location, although no onsite parking available there is public parking a short walk away.. The room was basic, and could do with some basic renovation in the bathroom.. Breakfast was a bit of a farce, initially no tables to sit at, and then no hot food, despite the waiters popping in and out replensihing croissants etc.
