Lovely hotel in a charming town!

Cute little inn, just a couple blocks from the historic town center (and it has free parking onsite). Room was clean and well furnished; bed was comfortable. And the breakfast is a veritable feast! I highly recommend this place!

Great very old building. The check in was done via a kiosk and I had to call for instructions but someone was there when checking out in the morning. Restaurant was closed for dinner but open for breakfast. Beautiful inside.

Historic property walkable to the center of Idstein with guest parking. Friendly staff with nice breakfast and a personal touch - would recommend

Very old hotel - Quirky room. Great bed and pillows— breakfast in 1st morning was great , breakfast in 2nd morning— a little tired … bot, in the whole , a nice , different , hotel

This is my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Completely charming, beautiful, and perfect! The breakfast is not to be missed. The staff took impeccable care of us. Can’t wait to return.

Charming old hotel in Idstein. All was good

I stayed here whilst on a business trip. The room was large and bright, the bathroom was spacious and most importantly the wi-fi in my room was fast and reliable. It's a short walk into the centre of Idstein but be warned it's a steep walk back, a good way to burn off the calories ! Yes, I would stay there again which is the key question answered.

Restaurant was fantastic, very good service and friendly staff. Our room, however was expensive for what it was, defenitely NOT a junior suite as described on site. No a/c making it v.hot. Good size and pleasant bathroom. Small car park and an overflow car park with a ramp which our car hit on the way there. Charming courtyard with cobblestones, some loose, making it a bit hazardous to walk on . Charming and interesting place but some mods necessary to make it comfortable. Restaurant highly recommended

In the old town of Idstein very chaming hotel with lovely rooms, dinning and bar.You wont be disappointed with a stay at this hotel. Free parking is also available which is very easily accessible

We loved the old building, beautiful courtyard and close vicinity to the „Altstadt“.

Unexpected treat...Meeting a friend who I have not seen in 43 years since we graduated from High School together. He ended up in the Taunus Mountain area just north of Frankfurt. He has held meetings at the Höerhof in the past and recommended the hotel. What a gem, off season, reasonably priced, personal attention everywhere, details in the rooms, superb dinner and a lovely breakfast. All at the edge of a quaint medieval town; pedestrian only cobblestone streets, and last but not least, a quick 30 minutes drive to the Frankfurt airport.

there were 2 big issues and 1 minor issue with my stay. I stayed in the Wiesbaden area longer than expected and all hotels were pretty much booked out so booked this one at a reasonable price. If you're not on business travel and just there with the wife and don't stay out late, don't continue reading, you're fine. big issue 1) for some reason, I could not connect to any of the database servers through the vpn at work which sent me into a panic. there seems to be some sort of dns issue with the internet provider in that area so I drove in panic to a hotel in downtown wiesbaden and worked from there. big issue 2) the reception is not 24h. they give you a fob which should open the door to your room and the big wodden entrance door if you come past midnight. because I worked NYC hours, I had to stay at the location where connectivity was not an issue past midnight. when I got back the fob didn't work so I pressed the button to talk to someone. It took 30 minutes for someone to respond and they said they would send someone but then nothing happened. Repeated attempts to contact the person again failed and no one showed up. Another 40m later I tried to reach someone again and someone just responed over the intercom saying it's fixed and I could finally get into the room. Lesson learned: never ever, ever ever book something without 24h desk out in the middle of nowhere while on business small issue: it's hard to get to, even by car

Nice old hotel on the edge of the old town. Nice walk down into the centre with shops and restaurants. Room was large and nicely furnished. Spa bath and large bathroom. Very nice breakfast and friendly staff.
