Du Lac Hotel

We were there for Easter Celebration. A perfect beautiful view to capture all the festivities of the Easter celebration. A quaint village with wonderful restaurants and pleasant people

Our 5th time in Du Lac. Good value in centre of town.

Lady who checked me in was very friendly and nice. Room was decent, and the hotel was very centrally located, on one of the two main pedestrian area. There’s a view of the lake from my room.

Right in the heart of the town, step out the front door and all the restaurants bar and shop are on your doorstep

Great location at the heart of agio with tons of great restaurants - perfect pit spot if you are roundtripping crete. Would recommend du lac to anyone. Great value for what you get.

Owing to the uncertain times of the pandemic, hotels generally had their own interpretation of the Covid rules. We stayed at 4 hotels on our visit to Crete and Du Lac had the worst interpretation of the rules - opting to avoid making our bed or to straighten out the room even when we asked for this. We noticed only the trash would be removed. Great location in the centre of town. Easy access to restaurants, the harbour, and long and short walks across town. The lake view is astounding and the restaurant in the Hotel was amazing with great cocktails and the most amazing service. Parking is a short walk away for €3 per day.

We were ther for 1 night to see the international Cliff Diving competition. Perfect location with a view of the diving and entertainment. Room was excellent, service great. Very clean. Will return.

A very convenient location, good hotel for a March visit. The staff recommended a wonderful restaurant located across the bridge and left along the lake, up a few steps. Wonderful food! We had coffee at the top of he pedestrian walkway by the hotel each morning. Nice spot the locals used! Good bake shops in the area around the circle near the hotel, and places to pick up fresh fruit, fish etc if you want to cook your own meals. We took the local bus to Elounda one day...a very scenic route! The bus stop was easy to find...just across the bridge, and the staff checked for times of buses for us and printed out a schedule. Lots of places to walk too....around the marina, down into the town etc. Up and down hills, though. We walked up the pedestrian lane way to the circle. Taxis there to take us to the main bus station.

Nice room looked over lake. Balcony. Good price. No breakfast, room only. First three nights room on first floor - generally pretty noisy but after third (vile) night demanded to be moved to higher floor. Bar du Lac (below and to side) making enough niose to be heard in Heraklion. Excessive. Karaoke/live? music thundering up through the floor boards and shower cubicle. Imagine it's even worse in summer as there's also a restaurant below, this time thankfully closed.

It was nice a bit cold and they have normal keys which makes it difficult to share a key with someone you are traveling with.. super nice and accommodating staff.. beautiful view from the lake side balcony
