Ermis Suites

Simple and inexpensive accommodations. Beach is right there! Clean and well-kept. Wifi was almost pointless- barely got any signal. Shower was tiny, water gets everywhere even with best efforts to keep curtain in place. We were only there to sleep so it was fine. If you wanted a place to hang out it had no character or charm.

This is a charming family-run hotel right on the beach in Agia Marina/Platanias. The area is very touristy, but the hotel is quiet and very clean with "rooms" that are more like apartments! The kitchenette is very well equipped with all you need for cooking, and also to make tea or coffee. There are several small supermarkets within walking distance, as well as restaurants and cafés for all budgets. Buses run frequently on the main road if you wish to explore areas further away from the hotel. It's a nice place to stay. The people running the hotel are very friendly, and also the other guests. I very much enjoyed my stay there and highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing!

Right on the beach which was nice, great walking distance to all the amazing restaurants. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Our shower head and air conditioning was broken. Also don’t pay for the umbrellas and sun beds. Lots of nicer ones down the beach at restaurants where you can have a drink anyway.

Beautifully maintained apartment - spotlessly clean, lovely little touches everywhere. The only downside was the bathroom downstairs from the bedroom & with a shower curtain. But that is just a personal view. We had a small patio at ground level & a nice balcony off the bedroom upstairs. The property is ideally right on the strip between the beach and the main thoroughfare. Lots of bars & restaurants in close proximity.

Basic hotel. Gloomy rooms. Clean rooms. Great location.

Our overall experience in this place was great, even though we came a little too early before most of the bars and tours were open. Ermis Suites has an amazing customer service. The owner reserved a taxi for us when we arrived in the Chania International Airport, and the driver arrived on time. When we arrived in the hotel, the owner happily welcomed us and even helped me with my carry-on luggage to take to our room. The owner answered all the questions we had when it comes to figuring out what to do nearby the hotel, since a lot of places in the street was still closed. The room service was also nice, we asked for new towels and blankets, and we received them in less than 10 minutes. The cleaning lady (I apologize I didn't get her name) was really sweet, she gave us the biggest smile and was more than willing to take the dirty towels we had. The view from our balcony was beautiful and relaxing, since it is in front of the beach. I do recommend this place to those who wants to stay in Crete. It was only about 15-30 minutes bus ride of €1,20 from the hotel to Chania and back.

The only thing missing was a pool but right beside the beach. Staff very helpful

great seaside break for all the family. Air conditioning in both bedrooms, would have been nice to have an air-conditioning unit in living room also. Family run business and they catered for all our requests.

We stayed here last year for two weeks. We stayed for six days again this year, as we were staying in Athens and on Santorini as well. We really like this place -on the beach, comfortable beds, very pleasant staff. The place offers great value. We will stay here again when back in Crete.

We found Ermis Suites nicely positioned very close to the beach yet convenient for shops,restaurants and buses. It is between the main built up areas of Platanias and Agia Marina. Our apartment was comfortable, spacious, spotless and well equipped. We had a good view of the White mountains from our balcony and could hear the sea

Hotel is deserving of it's high ratings. We were lucky and got a room that overlooked the beach. Though most rooms aren't so lucky. The beach views turned into views of sunbathers during the day, but it was still beautiful. Kitchen well-equipped. Even provided dish soap and sponge. Wifi was poor in the room. No pool at the hotel, but we went for lunch at the hotel next door and were able to use their pool and loungers. Perfect! Lots of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Very convenient.

A nice property with friendly owners. Some rooms great, some rooms have an odd layout. Our friends had a wonderful room that had a view of the beach, but there are only a couple of rooms with that. We had a maisonette-style room with a tiny bathrooms, and it wasn't as nice. Wifi was poor, but worked ok with a laptop (phone couldn't connect). Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Beach area was fine. If you want a pool, you could go to the hotel next door and order food to use their facilities.

Very nice and helpful owners, spacious 2-bedrooms apartment, AC included, right on the beach, 1 min walk to small supermarked, 4 min to large supermarked, excellent cleaning(dishes incl) every day except sundays, free use of swimmingpool at Hotel Menia next door, many tavernas/restaurants within 1-5 min walk. Great value for money! I will highly recommend Ermis Suites :)

Perfect hotel for our needs! Clean room and close to the beach. A little walk to town (Platanias) centre and close to busstop. Very nice mountainwiev from our balcony! We visited in early April -preseason so the tempo of the town where nice and slow and the nearby playground where closed. I think it could be a disturbance in highseason!

Very clean and comfortable hotel, nice rooms with kitchen well equipped. Very touristy area but hotel room private and room just metres from beach. Very pleased with rates paid for three nights for four people just before peak season.

My wife and I and our two year old daughter booked two nights with the intention of travelling around Crete. We loved it here so much that we ended up staying for six nights. It has a nice little beach that is quiet but still has plenty top do if you desire. There are four restaurants within 100 meters up the beach (The Olive Tree is by FAR the best...the food was so good that we went there every night) Right across the street there is a quaint little amusement park for kids if you have them with bouncy castles and trampolines etc. Get a car and drive into the mountains but you can do any of it (Including Elafenosis) as a day trip. Platanias is great...tons of little shops and restaurants and the people are incredibly friendly. The Ermes Suites are clean and comfortable and right on the beach. The owners are so friendly. (The father even called and spoke to the ferry company to book our next island, Santorini.) Don't get me wrong, this is not the Ritz Carlton, but you don't need that in Crete. The rooms are everything you need and the neighborhood is great. Also, there is a little supermarket next door that has fresh fruits and veggies, beer and liquor and everything you may need and the prices are reasonable. I want to be clear, this isn't the Ritz Carlton. It is a nice quiet hotel that is right where you want to be in Crete.
