High Beach Hotel

The food was probably the most disappointing thing about High Beach. There were large quantities of food and they were varied. The desserts were generally excellent, the breads were delicious and the cold and uncooked items were generally good but the hot and cooked foods were really poor. None of the food that was supposed to be hot was actually hot. It was all tepid. Even the soup which was in its own supposedly heated electric tureen was barely warm. Dishes which were just delivered from the kitchen were not hot. Every chicken dish, except for the chicken skewers, was totally dried out. The fish dishes were all very fishy smelling except for the mussels and the octopus. The stewed lamb, pork and beef dishes were acceptable but not memorable. Supposedly the nights had themes but had we not asked them what the themes were at the Concierge desk it would have been difficult to tell. Just to elaborate, on Greek night you couldn’t find moussaka nor any dessert with filo dough. • Being from the US, we decided to do our one table service dinner on Mexican night. So we made a reservation and went to Elia. The service was very good but again, the food was barely warm (given that we were sitting where we could see the food as it came out of the kitchen this was perplexing). My daughter and I had beef cheeks which were stewed and OK but the beef was served over a supposedly smoked eggplant puree which was the most unappealing brown color you can imagine.

Staff were amazing. Everyone working there has been so kind and warm. Special shout out to Giorgio and Vasillios (forgive me if they’re not spelled right) for being the best bartenders and making my stay so much fun!

I had a great stay at High Beach Hotel. It was the end of the season (literally - the day I left the place closed for winter). There were not many guests around, but the service was impeccable. I got a room upgrade and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea. The food was excellent and had a great variety. The hotel is perfectly located to explore the central and eastern parts of the island by car.

excellent service and property location with all the amenities

Just spent 8 days at High Beach resort, this place is excellent in every respect. We had a large suite which was wonderful and with a huge balcony which we didn’t expect. From the initial greeting (thank you Anna) to the food (thank you Yannis and team) and to the numerous attentive bar and poolside staff, nothing was too much trouble. We would come back without hesitation :)

Great property! Room was at the very back of the property, but we still got to enjoy all amenities. Super clean and nice rooms, and food was also pretty good.

This was a great hotel with great amenities. The room was lovely and spacious and we had everything we needed from the staff who were all lovely. The beach is beautiful and the pools and pool areas are all well maintained. My only criticism would be that they could do with more food options for vegetarians/vegans, as everything had meat in it most days. Thankfully, the salad bar was great! All in really good value.

Personal ist sehr freundlich. Entspannte Atmosphäre. Haben uns ein Auto gemietet und waren tagsüber bis zum Abendessen unterwegs. Es gibt auch Stellplätze für das Mietauto. Es gab reichhaltiges Frühstück/Abendessen. Zwischen Mittag- und Abendessen gab es Pizza und diverse Snacks. Das Hotel ist empfehlenswert.

Meine Reklamation bezüglich völlig durchgelegener Matratze wurde nach dem 08/15-Prinzip bearbeitet.Am Sonntag reklamiert, am Die kam der Front-Manager und versprach: Wir tuen alles, damit Sie wieder gut schlafen können. Nichts passiert. Da nichts geschah, hatte ich mir die Matratze genauer unter die Lupe genommen: Nur soviel: Geschätztes Alter der Matratze: 15 Jahre. Rückstände auf der Matratze wurden dann vom General Manager abgetan als natürliche Reaktion von Matratzen, welche mit Kokosnussbestandteilen befüllt ist. Ergebnis war, dass ich die letzte 2 Nächte nur auf einem Topper " genächtigt " habe. Ein unwürdiges Schauspiel für viel Geld meinerseits. Essen im Hauptresraurant in etwa das Niveau "Galeria Kaufhof". Selbt im A la Carte Restaurant allenfalls in Ordnung. Kleiner Lichtblick: Die Mitarbeiter an der Bar sind freundlich und kompetent. All das hat mit 5-Sterne-Hotel nichts zu tun. Ich fühlte mich 1 Woche wie auf einer Kaffe-Fahrt dritter Klasse.

Die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich, die Lage des Hotels ist super und das Personal meistens nett. Der Direktor (?) Ist stets im Geschehen und packt mit an, das ist uns positiv aufgefallen. Allerdings war die Anlage sehr voll, die Liegen an den Pools haben kaum ausgereicht, am Strand waren zwar welche frei, jedoch war es meistens zu windig um dort entspannt zu liegen. Auch das Restaurant mit dem Buffet war zur Stoßzeit unangenehm voll. Die Speisen waren leider nur mittelmäßig und zu wenig beschriftet (vegetarisch, allergene) sodass man ständig das Personal fragen musste. Die Klimaanlage unseres Zimmers hat geheizt, statt zu kühlen und ein kaputter Stuhl auf unserer Terrasse wurde, trotz Nachfrage, zwei Tage lang, bis zur Abreise, nicht ausgetauscht. Insgesamt ist es eine schöne Anlage, der Großteil des Personals ist bemüht und teilweise sehr freundlich und sympathisch (A. Von der Rezeption). Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, doch die "schallisolierten Zimmer" sind ein schlechter Scherz. Toll waren die täglichen Wasserflaschen und die Leih-Strandtücher. Außerdem ist der Pizzabäcker eine super Idee. Schade war der Preis für das Spa. Eine von zwei Saunen war in Betrieb und hierfür sollte 30€ für 30 Minuten gezahlt werden. Die Aktionen wie Yoga, Stretching u.ä. starteten erst später in der Saison. Für ein 3-4 Sterne Hotel wäre es gut, bei 5 Sternen erwartet man etwas mehr. Wir haben einen guten Preis zu Black Friday gemacht, deswegen stimmt das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis trotzdem

Einfach perfekt

C'est la 3eme fois que nous venons dans cet hotel, personnel agréable ,nourriture bonne mais peu variée. Souvent les mêmes plats. Les chambres supérieures sont très bien avec vue sur mer mais du bruit la nuit les jeunes viennent faire la fête. Ça devrait etre un adult only vu le concept.

Top Lage. Essen Auswahl sehr gut.

Un excelent séjours hotel tres propre tres bien maintenu et personnel tres serviable et poli. La nourriture etait tres variee et de tres bonne qualite et bien préparée. Bref rapport qualité prix pour l instant cet hotel est sur le dessus de ma liste

Wir haben uns eine Woche rundherum wohl gefühlt. Sehr freundliches, sehr hilfsbereites Servicepersonal.
