Phaidon Hotel & Spa

NOT RECOMMENDED. We stayed at this hotel over the summer. The pool and spa were both closed and when we asked management they said they didn't open it this year. From reading other reviews it looks like they have been choosing not to open the pool for a number of years. The spa was not open either. During the heat of the Greek summer they chose to turn off the air conditioning for the hotel overnight. At 3am the room temperature went over 28C and was stifling. There was no screen on the door so we couldn't open the patio door without bats/bugs getting in. We had to walk to the lobby to complain and front desk was asleep on the couch. It took us close to 10 minutes to wake him up. He told us they turn off the AC because it's "...Florina...". We made sure he physically walked over to the front desk and flipped a switch to turn on the AC. (Yes we had the room card in the room controller; this was over and above the room card control). I took a screenshot of the temp sensor from my phone. The room carpet hasn't been cleaned in years and walking barefoot turns your feet black. There was the outline of an clothes iron-melt on the floor. They charge a resort fee for this place. THIS IS NOT A RESORT OR SPA and borders on false advertising/fraud. We had to check out one day early and front desk told us there would be no problem with not charging the last day (booked through Expedia) but when Expedia called to confirm they would not talk to them. Management is smug.

Helpful staff good breakfast

This Hotel is very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Staff is Corteous. They serve full breakfast and it is good; eggs, meats, cereal, and pastries. I liked the Vintage style of the Hotel. The city center is 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes in car.

Very welcoming and cosy lounge, with a fireplace in the middle and a nice bar on one end. Excellent staff, very professional and friendly. Very spacious room and decently spacious bathroom. More than decent wi-fi speed. Ample parking spaces outside the hotel, as opposed to the city centre where parking is quite a venture... Towels where changed daily and litter was collected. The bed sheets, though, were not changed during our stay (5 nights), nor was the room cleaned. Also, we were disappointed to find out the spa was closed, even though it was included in the amenities.

The pool and sauna were closed for the season and no one told us about that. Its about 4 euros to get to town because its not quite walkable. Im used to attentive bar and front desk staff and at one point i waited at the bar for over 5 minutes just to get a bottle of water. The person at the front desk didnt even look up to see if I needed any help. Eventually i had to ask my mom who spoke the language to ask them for a bottle of water. What was promised in terms of amenities on the booking site was NOT what was offered upon arrival. You really need a car to get around to enjoy yourself but even that was nearly impossibility because there were no rentals that were automatic. Ill probably never visit again or id stay at the hotel in the centre of town

Very tired hotel, staff were delightful. No spa, certainly not as seen in the photos. Had to listen to two football screens with two different matches going on whilst having supper! Felt more like a truckers stop rather than a luxury spa hotel. Room very fired, in desperate need of renovation and the curtains could do with a wash! Looked like smoking had been permitted for years.

It was OK. Really needs an update, though.

Good breakfast selection and friendly staff. My main issue with the hotel is the inclusion of the word "spa" in the name, as there is no spa. This is very misleading, especially since I specifically chose this hotel because I thought it had a hottub and spa services only to find out the hottub was broken and the spa services discontinued. When I asked the man at the front desk, he said that even if there were a hottub, it wouldn't have been included in the regular price of the reservation. This sounded like a poor excuse and no apologies were offered. In conclusion, the hotel itself was fine, but misleading. There are other options both nearby and in the city centre.

I had a very comfortable stay in one of their suites. The suite was spacious, well-decorated, and clean. I slept REALLY well in the bed that they had. In fact, I thought of contacting them after I had left, to ask them what brand mattress I had slept on, because it was so good. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and THE JACUZZI WAS DIVINE. All that for sixty-something dollars!...

I thought this hotel was very good for the deal I had. The nice indoor pool was closed because of covid so I missed my swim. The area has no other swimming so this is a good facility. Room cleaned every day Positioned on edge of town next to woods A little walk from town Center but this is a positive. Obviously quiet because of covid but very pleasant overall

Wir waren vor zwei Jahren schon mal in diesem Hotel und waren eigentlich recht zufrieden. Diesmal waren einige Mängel zu erkennen. Das Bad ist mittlerweile renovierungsbedürftig, Die Hälfte der Badewanne hat eine sehr unschöne gelbliche Verfärbung in der Innenseite. Weiteres ist aufgefallen, dass an der täglichen Reinigung gespart wird. Das angeblichen Spa Hotel ist nicht mehr vorhanden . Der Pool und die Sauna sind gesperrt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war aber gut.

Prachtig hoog gelegen en goed onderhouden hotel in dit Griekse stadje waardoor mooi uitzicht over een deel van de omgeving. Je ziet een aantal besneeuwde toppen. Florina ligt in natuurgebied. Kamer, bedden, sanitair en douche waren prima. Ontbijt was goed, al misten we de verse fruitsalade voor in overheerlijke yoghurt. Zwembad en overige zaken hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Sehr sauber. Das Haus braucht eine Sanierung für seine Bäder und andere Kleinigkeiten. Leider ist der gesamte Spa Bereich seit 2020 nicht mehr geöffnet, nur massage. Das Personal im gesamten hotel ist super nett und hilfreich!!

Nice hotel with welcoming staff. Comfortable room with a small balcony. Breakfast was alright, with a variety of food; both hot and cold. No spa-facilities due to 'technical problems'... Snowed a lot when we came. Thought it was strange that no one from the hotel cleared the few parkingspaces outside from snow.

Καλαίσθητο ξενοδοχείο, ωραία θέα και άνετη διαμονή!

Ένα ικανοποιητικό 3άστερο ξενοδοχείο με παρωχημένη διακόσμηση και σε μέτρια κατάσταση, αλλά πολύ ήσυχο και νορμάλ δωμάτια που σε λίγα χρόνια θα χρειαστούν ανακαίνιση. Κανονικό πρωινό χωρίς κάτι ιδιαίτερο, όλα ικανοποιητικά για αυτό που περιμένεις και για την τιμή όλα καλά.

Πολύ καλό ξενοδοχείο και πολύ εξυπηρετικό το προσωπικό. Το πρωινό επίσης πολύ καλό!! Βέβαια καθησαμε μόνο μια μέρα αλλά οκ άλλη φορά θα μείνουμε περισσότερο.
