Hotel Tepeu was amazing 10/10 for sure. When we arrived to Flores, the staff were very kind. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator but staff members carried our luggage up for us. That was really nice of them. It's an example of the incredible service the staff at Tepeu are all about. All the workers were excellent in their treatment towards us.
The room itself was great and the AC kept us cool. It's really hot and humid in Flores so that was a plus. Additionally, the pool was perfect for us. We were traveling with 2 year old and the pool had a shallow area specifically for kids like him to also enjoy. We were so grateful of how thoughtful the design was for the pool.
Like other reviews mentioned, one of the best features TEPEU had was it's restaurant. The food was delicious! You might have to wait a little bit since the staff take your order and cook the food themselves but the wait is definitely worth it. Their menu had so many options and everything we tried was fresh and delicious.

I was placed in a completely different room, not given enough towels. When I went to the front desk to complain about it I was not told they would switch my rooms as they gave me the wrong room, but they never called me back after I went out to explore the town. I called a couple of hours later they did not want to switch my rooms or give me a compensation for giving me the incorrect room. They stated the room I originally booked was under repair due to the water but I was not told before they switched me to a smaller room

En recepción no se comunican entre turnos, por ejemplo, en la mañana dejaba mi llave y en la tarde no sabían nada, en la mañana solicitaba transporte y en la tarde no sabían nada y el baño es muy bonito, pero no es muy funcional ni la regadera, ni la ventilación.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was fine but the windows opened into the courtyard which meant very little privacy. They had seating in the courtyard which had a cute touch. The shower was cold for one of us - maybe heating is not reliable.

Friendly staff, easy check in and out, nice relaxing garden area and pool, clean room, tasty breakfast.
Only downside was that you need to take a cab or tuktuk to the island of Flores. However, it’s noisier and more expensive on the island so this worked for us better. The ride was only about 7 to 8 minutes away.
