Very family friendly, the size of the twin beds is 140x200 which means if combined it becomes 280x200, the 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children) were very sufficient, no need for an extra bed and what made me impressed was that the hotel did not prohibit us when 5 people were in 1 room, where sometimes some hotels only allow a maximum of 4 people. In fact, we were given extra towels and amenities for our children. The staff were all very friendly, and most importantly it was close to the MTR station and there were many places to eat around. Highly recommended, next time I go to HK I will come back to this hotel

Always loved staying here! It's like reliving our childhood dreams. One important and useful perk that I got was the park special entry lane—no need to wait since early in the morning to queue! Overall very pleasant stay! Wish I could have stayed longer!

Stayed 6 nights at Cityview. The room was clean and drinking water was always available from the dispenser. The hotel is close to the MTR, hospital, 24-hour shops, and food stalls. A few minutes walk away, you can find fast food and other eateries. The staff was very friendly, even helping me provide first aid after I fell while walking on a rainy day. Highly recommended, I will stay here again if I visit Hong Kong 👍

Very recommended hotel. Perfect location and CBD area. MasyaAllah dan alhamdulillah kita dapat hotel yang lokasinya benar-benar perfect ke mana-mana dan dekat dengan train station, busway every second minute will passed in front of you, juga restoran di mana-mana. Perfect place to stay with your family and affordable price. All surrounding hotel convenient, 2 minutes walk to the I square, many supermarkets, shops, and restaurants. The most important we found halal restaurant next door, level 1. I stay 7th days during Ragasa Typhoon and really safe hotel. Friendly staff too. Next time if we come back to Hongkong, we know where we have to go😇😘 Thanks for look after us.

More about hotels in Hong Kong

Book the Best Hotels in Hong Kong for Singaporean Travellers

Hong Kong is a destination that delivers an electrifying mix of East-meets-West culture, world-class shopping, legendary dim sum, and a skyline that rivals any city on Earth. For Singaporean travellers, Hong Kong is an easy direct flight from Changi Airport, taking approximately four hours. Whether you are planning a weekend shopping spree, a family theme park adventure, or a culinary pilgrimage through the city's michelin-starred restaurants and humble dai pai dongs, Traveloka offers an extensive range of hotel hong kong options to match every style and budget. All prices are displayed in SGD, and with features like free cancellation and pay-at-hotel, booking your Hong Kong accommodation has never been more convenient.

Top Neighbourhoods to Stay in Hong Kong

Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) — Harbourfront Glamour

Tsim Sha Tsui, commonly known as TST, sits at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula and is one of the most popular areas for Singaporean visitors. The TST waterfront promenade offers iconic views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island skyline, which is particularly stunning during the nightly Symphony of Lights show. The area is packed with shopping centres including Harbour City and iSquare, as well as cultural attractions like the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Space Museum. Hotels in TST range from budget options starting at SGD 70 | night to luxury harbourfront properties from SGD 300 | night. The MTR station in TST provides easy access to the rest of the city.

Central & Sheung Wan — Business & Heritage

Central is Hong Kong's financial district and a hub for upscale dining, rooftop bars, and designer shopping along Landmark and IFC Mall. Neighbouring Sheung Wan offers a more eclectic vibe with antique shops, dried seafood markets, and trendy coffee houses. Hotels in Central are generally premium-priced, starting from SGD 150 | night, reflecting the district's prime location. The Mid-Levels Escalator, the world's longest outdoor covered escalator system, runs through this area and is both a practical transport link and a tourist attraction in itself. The Star Ferry terminal in Central offers a scenic and affordable crossing to TST.

Causeway Bay — Shopping Paradise

Causeway Bay is Hong Kong's answer to Orchard Road, with a dense concentration of department stores, fashion boutiques, and electronic shops. Times Square and SOGO are the anchor retail destinations, while the surrounding streets are filled with smaller shops and local eateries. Hotels in Causeway Bay offer excellent value for money compared to Central, with mid-range options available from SGD 90 | night. The area is well served by the MTR and tram lines, making it easy to explore the rest of Hong Kong Island.

Mong Kok — Authentic Hong Kong Experience

Mong Kok is one of the most densely populated areas in the world and offers an authentic, gritty Hong Kong experience. The neighbourhood is famous for its themed street markets, including the Ladies' Market for bargain fashion, the Flower Market, the Goldfish Market, and the Bird Garden. Street food in Mong Kok is exceptional, with stalls serving fish balls, egg waffles, curry puffs, and stinky tofu late into the night. Hotels here are among the most affordable in Hong Kong, with compact but well-maintained rooms starting from SGD 55 | night. It is an ideal base for budget-conscious Singaporean travellers who want to be immersed in local culture.

Lantau Island — Disneyland & Airport Convenience

Lantau Island is home to Hong Kong Disneyland, the Ngong Ping 360 cable car, and the Tian Tan Buddha. Staying on Lantau is perfect for families visiting Disneyland or travellers who want to be close to the airport for early departures. The Disneyland Resort hotels offer immersive themed experiences for children, while budget alternatives are available in nearby Tung Chung, where the Citygate Outlets mall provides excellent duty-free shopping.

Must-Visit Attractions in Hong Kong

Victoria Peak

No trip to Hong Kong is complete without visiting Victoria Peak, the highest point on Hong Kong Island. The Peak Tram funicular railway takes you up the steep hillside to the summit, where the Sky Terrace 428 observation deck offers unobstructed panoramic views of the city skyline, Victoria Harbour, and the Kowloon Peninsula. The views are spectacular both during the day and at night. The Peak also features restaurants, shops, and the Peak Circle Walk, a relaxing trail around the summit with beautiful views of the surrounding greenery and harbour.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is a favourite among Singaporean families. The theme park features classic Disney attractions, character meet-and-greets, parades, and firework shows. The park is smaller than other Disney resorts worldwide, making it manageable to cover in a single day, which is ideal for travellers on short trips. The Castle of Magical Dreams, Mystic Manor, and the Iron Man Experience are among the top rides. On-site hotels offer Disney-themed rooms and early park access for hotel guests.

Dim Sum & Culinary Delights

Hong Kong is one of the greatest food cities in the world, and for Singaporean foodies, it is pure paradise. Dim sum is a quintessential Hong Kong experience, and the city offers everything from Michelin-starred restaurants like Tim Ho Wan and Din Tai Fung to traditional neighbourhood dim sum parlours. Beyond dim sum, must-try dishes include roast goose, wonton noodles, char siu, pineapple buns, and egg tarts. The dai pai dong outdoor food stalls in areas like Sham Shui Po offer incredibly affordable and authentic meals. The sheer variety and quality of food in Hong Kong is reason enough for Singaporean travellers to visit again and again.

Shopping in Hong Kong

Shopping is a core part of the Hong Kong experience. From luxury brands at Landmark and Pacific Place in Central to bargain finds at the Ladies' Market in Mong Kok, the city caters to every budget. Causeway Bay offers a mix of high street and local fashion, while TST's Harbour City is one of Asia's largest shopping complexes with over 450 shops. Electronics shoppers should head to Sham Shui Po for competitive prices on gadgets, cables, and accessories. Outlet shopping at Citygate in Tung Chung is convenient for travellers heading to or from the airport.

Getting Around Hong Kong

Hong Kong's public transport system is one of the most efficient in the world. The MTR subway network covers most major tourist areas and is clean, safe, and reliable. An Octopus Card, similar to Singapore's EZ-Link card, can be used on the MTR, buses, ferries, trams, and even at convenience stores and restaurants. The iconic Star Ferry connects Hong Kong Island to Kowloon for just a few dollars and offers one of the best value harbour cruises anywhere. The double-decker trams on Hong Kong Island are another charming and affordable way to sightsee.

Best Time for Singaporeans to Visit Hong Kong

The best time to visit Hong Kong is during the autumn months of October to December, when the weather is cool, dry, and sunny. Spring from March to May is also pleasant, though it can be foggy. Summer from June to August is hot, humid, and prone to typhoons, while winter from December to February is cool, with temperatures occasionally dipping below 10 degrees Celsius. Singaporean travellers who enjoy cool weather and festive atmosphere should consider visiting during the Christmas and New Year period, when the city is beautifully decorated and hosts large-scale celebrations. Hotel hong kong rates tend to be highest during these peak periods, so early booking on Traveloka is recommended.
