Acco Ice Apartments

Lovely place right in the downtown area. Had everything we needed for our stay. Kids loved the loft and getting to climb the latter just be cautious as it is steep!! Great place we enjoyed!

Great apartment! Centrally located on the main drag in Akuryeri and right next to this fabulous cafe called Berlin! The flat itself was spacious yet cozy, and after traveling for a few days it was a nice place to relax and watch movies while it snowed outside. The beds and linens were very comfortable, and there was off-street parking in a private lot. Would definitely book again! Wish we stayed longer than 1 night!

This property was excellent value and perfect for our stay, centrally located in Akureyri. The property has a well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds. Communication with the host was excellent. Our only improvement would be curtains in the bedroom as the blinds don't keep out the outside light. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily return.

Beautiful place, surrounded by shops and restaurants… I had a tiny issue to find the entrance, even with the map but beside that the experience was amazing!

Great location, spacious, easy parking, easy checkin and check out with key box and instructions. Husband is a bit noise sensitive and you can hear neighbors/outside noise but this is city living. I like dark rooms when sleeping and the apartment didn’t have black out curtains. Otherwise the apartment had everything if you were going to cook and it could easily fit more than 2 people.

A little hard to find as the street is a walking mall. However, a cliser read of the email provided clear instructions to access the suite.

Clean and open apartment with plenty of beds and nice kitchen to cook in.

No blackout curtains makes it hard to sleep and get rest when there is 24 hours oh sunlight. It was a neat and clean property.

The apartment is nice and clean. It is located in a very convenient area. However. We received the wrong check-in information with wrong key box code and video. We spent more than 1 hour trying to find the building in the video that were sent to us. But the video was misleading and the code was wrong. It was a horrible experience . We had to make multiple calls to solve the problem.

Comfortable and spacious. My niece (6 years old) said she wanted to “stay a thousand nights.” Loft area was fun for her and practical for the rest of us. Central location with parking close by. Recommended for groups with plenty of room, nice bathroom and full functional kitchen.

Perfect home away from home with everything you need including a dishwasher, an oven with newly laid baking sheets and a washer. The bed linens were very comfortable and clean.

Convenient to downtown. Apartment is nicely decorated and main bedroom is nice. Loft area is tight. Washer/dryer is a nice feature.

Lovely apartment close to everything and right in the heart of town.

There were three of us in a one-bedroom deluxe apartment (with a loft bed). Our daughter had the loft, which had three beds on the floor. She had to climb the steep ladder to accessed the loft. It has a low ceiling as the loft is sloped; therefore, one has to be really careful. This is OK for a young person, but not for elderly folks. But they also have a double sofa bed, if one doesn’t want to climb the ladder. There is no front desk at this property. I think the communication with the owners is not good. The check-in is at 5 PM, which I think is too late. We talked to the maid around 2 PM and she said that the room would be available at 4 PM, which it was. The instructions were not clear: again, we had to ask the maid for help in getting the key from the box. Closing the door was also tricky, and we had to leave the apartment unlocked. Good that crime is rare in Iceland! At the end of the day, we asked another maid, and she showed us the trick to lock the door. All these quirks should be explained in the email. The apartment itself has been remodeled recently and looks nice. Their website says “full kitchen.” But one major drawback is the absence of a microwave oven, which is absolutely needed. My daughter had a hard time with the washer/dryer combo. It would be nice to have brief instructions available for foreigners that aren’t used to European style appliances. This apartment was a good value. We enjoyed our stay 3-night stay.

Great location and decent apartment. A couple of things were broken and there were no bath towels (had to call the property manager to find one in the pull out bed) and no bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.)
