Guesthouse Stekkaból

Nice decor but breakfast was a rip off. Was supposed to be a buffet. We were instead left with a plate in the fridge to share between 3 of us and butter nor milk were available. Upon querying about butter, we were told that they had run out of it !

Stunning view over fjord, quirky and chic, very clean. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Never saw any staff, self service. But very well organized. No problems . Rooms very nice spacious & decorated nice , breakfast area was beautiful & view awesome. Kitchen has all that’s needed. Would definitely stay again. Very nice place

The staff were friendly and welcoming. All around this place was a delight to stay in, plenty of spots outside your room to relax, read a book or watch the ocean. Breakfast was included and lovely. Fairly clean rooms and bathrooms considering its shared bathroom situation.

Great property with friendly staff. The room and the shared bathroom are very clean. The dining area and the kitchen on the second floor overlooks the sea with incredible view. The complementary breakfast is really good. There is a small library area with a lot of books for bookworms. Not far away from the property cross street from the church is a nice restaurant with great food, service and nice views as well. We had great stay here for one night and will definitely stay again when we come back to the area.

Bathroom no amenities, hospitality didn’t exist, pillows were not comfortable. Breakfast was average. Decent stay for a family or solo, but absolute no privacy or personal space for a couple.

The property inside was spacious, beautiful dining area with the best view of the fjord. Our room was very spacious with a great double bed and outside view of nature. My only complaint was the lack of lighting in our bedroom. It’s very dim and difficult to see properly. Otherwise outstanding property!

Staff friendly, can use their kitchen to cook dinner and common areas such as dining area and “sitting room”. Simple breakfast in the morning. Room spacious and clean.

Greeted by staff, showed me out the room. Very clean and spacious! Shared bathroom is nice and clean. Met with the other guests in the kitchen. Good ambiance in the breakfast room; I can tell the owner and staff really make this place a home for all guests. Beautiful ocean view from the window even on a rainy day ( was hoping to see sunset) . Better guesthouse compared to the last one we stay.

Super cute establishment. We had a room with two beds that was small but well organized. The shared kitchen was functional with plenty of fridge space. The outdoor showers were a fun (optional) addition. The breakfast spread was unexpectedly fancy and excellent quality. We would stay here again. The check-in info on Hotels.com was unclear and confusing, but in reality we just had to arrive during the listed check-in times and there was a staffed reception area.

Really comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Easy to find. Parking outside. Clean. Well equipped kitchen. Shared bathroom was ok though i always prefer my own. Nice view. Outside of building not good but inside is lovely

Everything was great

Everything was great! I especially liked the sitting areas, both inside and out. The outdoor showers looked fun to use, but it was a little cold outside for me. My husband used them, and enjoyed them.

Overall we had a great stay and would return again. When we arrived, our room key was on the counter but no one was there to check us in or acclimate us to the house. We felt bad trying to find things like towels. We didn’t have a way to communicate with the host because our phone didn’t work. We tried sending an email to request a fan because the heat had been left on when we first arrived but we couldn’t find one. We tried to leave the window open at night but we kept getting cigarette smoke in the room from the people next door who were also talking making it difficult to sleep. Exterior doors are left unlocked which was a bit unnerving for us at first but then you see just how safe the area is. Everything else was great, breakfast was wonderful! Location was exactly where we wanted and central to our travels. Tried the local community pool and it was so nice! Showers and bathroom were clean and no issues sharing them with other guests.

The VIEWS! Can't say anything negative about the location, it seems that every room (except for the view in the back) have fjord views. The room is tight for two people with a few items of luggage, but manageable for one night (and it's Iceland — the rooms are often smaller than expected). That said, the bed was very comfortable and the room was impeccably clean, towels included. There are two buildings and one of the washrooms smells a bit musty with a dim light, but I don't really mind those conditions (just writing here for others who may have higher standards haha). Now, the buffet breakfast was phenomenal and included in the price, so this stay is an absolute winner if you're staying in Patreksfjordur! I also left one of my bikinis by accident, so I hope the employee is enjoying it now haha.

Spectacular view and stylish decor. The location was great and the breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Die Aussicht ist sehr schön. Ein schönes Gästehaus mit Frühstückmöglichkeiten. Eine Küche und eine Kaffeemaschine steht zur Verfügung. Es gibt einen schönen Aufenthaltsbereich.
