Hotel Rangá

Such a great stay and lucky enough to see the northern lights everynight!!

The breakfast was varied and readily available first thing in the morning. We had a boxed lunch prepared for our day trip and while bait pricey, it was high quality and filling. We had dinner the first night and enjoyed appetizers and the main courses, especially the seafood choices.

Loved everything about this hotel! It had a rustic look but was modern other than that. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the extra amenities like the hot tubs, pool table and observation tower. Such a nice bonus that they do an Aurora wake up call so you don't miss the Northern Lights. The staff was friendly. Loved that the owner was present on the property and mingling with guests. The bar and restaurant were amazing! The food was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Iceland!

Fantastic stay at Hotel Ranga! We enjoyed dinner and the breakfast buffet. It was a wonderful place to see the northern lights and relax in the hot tubs under the stars! 10/10 recommend.

Absolutely loved the hotel, comfortable, quiet, and with a great atmosphere. Nice touch with a welcome drink before our delicious dinner. Definitely recommend this

Beautiful location, the staff was extremely attentive and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was one of our top meals in Iceland. We also ordered a lunch box for the following day and it was amazing, saved us time and could go straight to our hikes. Highly recommended!

The hotel was perfectly adequate, but we expected something way more glamorous given the $900 we paid for the room.

This hotel was fantastic. We loved it. Food was wonderful and they were very accommodating with our food allergies and vegetarianism. The owner is lovely too. Only complaint is that even with a fan the rooms are very warm, but that seems to be the case in all the hotels here.

Fabulous staff!

I was hesitant to book this hotel, but it was such a gem, the dinner and breakfast were great, the rooms were a bit dates but at the same time cozy.

This hotel was an incredible experience. We got to know the owner/manager very well, he’s a very kind man! The hotel staff was lovely and fun! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the dinner food fantastic. My room was #40 and I loved it and my Terrace, so charming. Amenities were terrific too! One suggestion only: perhaps there could be more hot tubs available. There are too few for the amount of rooms and we came during a busy summer season. We had to wait for people to leave the one by me was often used. Thank you for a wonderful stay!! I will be back.
