Our first night was on the 4th floor in a room with sloped ceilings where we bumped our head. The room was hot with only a tiny window. Also, the bathroom was very small. We requested a new room and got one on the reception floor that was much better. It was cool with a large door we could open to an outdoor private patio and the bathroom was larger and much more user friendly. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. So we had 2 nice nights in the second room.

Þingholt by Center Hotels was a very comfortable hotel. Our room was a little bit tight, but the bed was very comfortable, our bathroom actually had a tub/shower combo which prevented the wet floors we had in some other hotels on our trip, and they provided a fan to keep the room a little cooler. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, and we took advantage of happy hour with some lower priced drinks (which comes in handy in Iceland 😉)

We enjoyed our stay here as the room is clean and comfortable, the staff is nice and the breakfast was good. The only drawback is if Center Hotels decides to have an event at one of the attached restaurants. When we were there, the sushi place had pounding music from 4-10 PM and then people loudly lingered outside after 10. (although the music stopped) This is somewhat distressing as the hotel would rather sell extra sushi than have a quiet hotel for its guests. At what this place costs, the guest should come first.

Really good location, good breakfast. The room was comfortable with somewhat odd furnishings - the coffee table was only about 8 inches high so not too useful, and the lighting was quite dim.

This boutique property is nice. If your use to American size rooms then I suggest booking the deluxe room as the standard is really small. This hotel is closest to bus stop #6 at the Cultural Center. Please use this stop for any of your excursions pick ups and drop offs as well as if you book the FlyBus. The location is great you WILL not need to rent a car if you booked excursions EVERYTHING is just steps away from the hotel but if you are planning to drive yourself then they have parking but I can’t comment on that process.

We liked this hotel and it fit our needs very well. We spent two non-adjacent nights here, our first day in Reykjavik and our last. The hotel was conveniently located for us, close for walking to Reykjavik attractions and shopping. The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs, helping us by storing our luggage while we were gone for 3 days in-between our stays, on a minibus tour of the south side of Iceland.

Fabulous hotel in the center of the city, giving you immediate walking access to everything Reykjavik has to offer. Beautiful motif and decor, with a nice restaurant/bar and a lot of very comfortable lounge furniture for relaxing and socializing. Room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was super helpful with airport transportation coordination and street parking options. This is perhaps the best hotel experience of the five we stayed in on our week-long trip. I highly recommend this super hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay, the space is standard European sized rooms but very clean. The amenities were perfect and the breakfast was very good. The staff were all awesome and Charlene, George & Artur were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is also super convenient to restaurants and rainbow road.

Perfect location! Polite and helpful staff. Great breakfast and happy hour. Nice relaxing hot thermal tub. Overall, very pleased with our stay here. The room had some areas that need improved (multiple areas with paint chipping, a window lock semi broke) but was spacious and nice to stay in for a while. Few issues with tv, internet and phone first night due to winds, but the staff handled it quickly the following day.
