Very friendly and efficient staff, clean room, ideally located, several landmarks within walking distance

The bathrooms need renovating but other than that, good location, big rooms, friendly staff. Good breakfast and great stay. Bathrooms decent but could do with some renovating.

The hotel is going downhill… its condition is deteriorating, especially the cleaning. Excellent location

We stayed for three days in January. The hotel staff were all excellent and helpful, especially Nayim. We felt safe and easily walkable to all the main attractions in Colaba . Wonderfully quiet away from Mumbai's hustle and bustle but shops, and restaurants nearby.

The hotel is well situated, and has very gun potential but it is average.The 1st thing they can do is improve on the cleanliness. The workers always look untidy and sweaty. The do not provide any bathroom accessories, not even a shower cap, i thought it was standard on all 3 star hotels.

This is a well located hotel near the taj hotel. The rooms are quite large and the breakfast was off a menu. Bathroom was very big too. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great breakfast in the morning; service at breakfast was wonderful. Front desk service could have been better. We didn't receive a wifi code until 30 minutes after check in as the "computer was resetting"? Also, when we asked for more hangers, they returned saying they couldn't find anymore.

We had a beautiful room on the top floor with a king size bed and fantastic shower. The a/c was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was excellent. This hotel is very close to a major street in Colaba that allows easy access to restaurants and sights. Be aware that there’s a lot of street noise but that’s probably unavoidable in this section of Mumbai.

The Ascot Hotel is a lovely place to rest and relax amidst the Colaba chaos! The rooms are spacious and quiet, the prepared coffee is excellent, breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is truly superb. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a mid-range place in Mumbai's Colaba area.

Our experience with the Ascot Hotel was awful. This is our story. We are a senior professional couple from Toronto Canada. We booked several months ahead. A week before arriving, we sent an email requesting their Airport shuttle service, which is advertised by the hotel, by kindly requesting, just to be sure, a confirmation reply. No reply was received. Two days before our arrival, we were notified by our tourist agency that Air India had cancelled our flight from Varanasi to Mumbai. Once again we notified the Ascot Hotel of the change of flight and requested their Airport Shuttle Service with the new airline, flight number and arrival time. Once again, we received no confirmation. At our arrival, no Ascot Hotel shuttle service was there. We arranged our own transportation and, once arrived at The Ascot Hotel, we were informed that there was no room available for us. They suggested another hotel for us for a night. They would have a room for us for the remaining 4 nights. Luckily enough, we still had our taxi on the premises. The only positive service: one of their staff came with us to the other hotel with our cab. The other hotel was of lower category and considerably cheaper. The following day we refused to return to the Ascot. We remained at the new hotel because the staff was very friendly although the facilities were “challenging”. Conclusion: no one wants to be stranded late in the night in a foreign city... never mind in a challenging city like Mumbai.

Best part of this hotel is the staff. They go out of their way to make your stay good. Extremely helpful & pleasant. Comfortable room & bed. Good breakfast. Close to waterfront, India gate, shops & restaurants.

I have stayed at this hotel before and love it. This time though, I am not sure if the bed sheets were clean and changed, there were no towels in the room, and the trash can had trash from a previous occupant. The Internet was also patchy which was a real bone of contention. That being said, maybe this was a one off, as otherwise I really enjoy the hotel and would recommend it.

Our 3rd stay at the Ascot. Always very friendly service. Rooms are large and in good repair. Marble on floor is nice in hot weather. Great location. Will return to the Ascot Hotel. Good value. Highly recommend. Met friendly owner.

Easy access to shopping and sightseeing such as Gateway to India and Taj Mahal hotel.

Very pleasant staff and great location!

The room I was given initially was not great - it was in pretty shabby condition and was not very clean (except for the linens, which were spotless). I arrived very, very late and so was content to sleep there for one night, with the intent of finding another hotel the next day. However, when I explained my concerns to the staff in the morning, they moved me to a much nicer - and cleaner - room. I wouldn't say the new room was spectacular, but it was clean and came with simple amenities like soap and hand towels (no washcloths). The daily paper was a nice touch, and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location as well - very close to the Taj Palace (go for high tea!) and the Gateway to India, and immediately proximal to the Colaba street market. Ubers are plentiful in the area, so it was easy to get around to other areas of the city as well.

The Staff at Reception were amazing. Especially the Gentleman on Night Duty. Very Very Helpful. Breakfast Continental. Should include Indian Breakfast on some days. Unfortunately the Guests across my Room 206 were extremely noisy day and night. Lots of people staying in that Room .Overall Amazing Stay
