The LaLiT New Delhi

What a nice find. previously I stayed at the Shangri-La hotel and I thought that was great until I checked into my room at Lalit. Dollar for Dollar, your buck goes further at the Lalit hotel then at other competitions hotels. The rooms are much larger, the breakfast buffet was good as was the staff. I extended my stay here.

I stayed at The LaLiT New Delhi for a work trip and would consider staying here again. I arrived shortly after midnight (3AM), and check-in began with an up-sell to upgrade to a more expensive room (at a cost), which I politely declined. The process was efficient, but I would have appreciated a brief overview of the hotel's amenities. There was no mention of the pool, spa, or art gallery, so I only discovered some of these facilities later in my stay. The room was comfortable but showed some signs of wear and tear. As this appears to be an older hotel, this wasn't unexpected and didn't significantly affect my stay. The bathroom was very spacious which was great! The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Room service could be improved. Ordering required multiple phone calls, and my meal arrived colder than expected. While some heat loss is normal with room service, this was more noticeable than usual. A highlight was the pool area, which I used on my final day after checkout. The hotel kindly allowed me to stay until 2 PM after my 12 PM checkout. The pool was well maintained, with plenty of loungers, umbrellas, drinks available, and clean changing/shower facilities. It was only when I went looking for the pool that I discovered the spa facilities and art gallery. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Despite a few service issues, the friendly staff and good facilities made for a pleasant experience.

I wish I had more time to stay here and enjoy all the amenities in the hotel but I was just staying for a night. The place is amazing and clean, just wonderful

Spacious, Clean but dated rooms and lack of amenities, staff is helpful, warm and welcoming. Breakfast buffet lacked in quality. Spa is average.

Very good hotel. Clean and friendly staff. Food was good too but was on high wide on spicy. Breakfast was excellent.

Watch out what the staff on the front desk tell you they will promise you things that they can’t deliver during checkin. The Staff was very rude and unapologetic during checkout.

The food was very good in the 24/7 restaurant. The amenities were best good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is good. The property is a little dated and in need of upgrade to qualify as 5 star.

I stayed here with my partner for a few days to explore New Delhi and we loved the Lalit. It was a great hotel that was centrally located in New Delhi so we had easy access to a lot of our sites. The on-site food was varied and very good and was our go-to for breakfast. I would happily stay here again!

Check in should be smoother, waited more than 30 minutes for the room to get ready.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in recent months. Right from entering gate to check-out, there were multiple instances that point staff is poorly trained: 1. I get down from taxi and about to enter hotel when doorman signals me to get my small backpack scanned. He signalled me in a manner I would call my pet or toddler son 2. I enter lobby, I politely stand in queue behind the check-in desk as all 3 desks were occupied. A staff walks up to asking me to sit in waiting area. When I state that I am fine standing, she asked me to get behind another visitor. Very next moment, couple of (non-Indian looking) gentlemen walk in and the same lady asks for their passports and got them into another queue ahead of me. Thanks for making me feel like second class citizen in my own country 3. My parents and I were put in rooms on different floors so we swapped one key to get access to each other’s floors. Next morning, I am not able to access my parent’s floor. I go to security—she doesn’t have access key(strange!). I go to front desk, they rewrite key, I walk up to elevator and the key is still not working. I walk to front desk again—I reconfirm that key will work this time. I walk to elevator and guess what it doesn’t work again. I lost 15 minutes in this ordeal. I walk to front desk again and the guy gives me 4 keys this time Many more such issues through my stay My recommendation - avoid this place at all cost. Suggestion to hotel - train your staff better

Staff are good, room service is lacking requested water to room twice but didn't come. Location is good, facilities good, its just starting to show faded glory. Good value.

The staff are amazing; from reception to the housekeeping teams on the floor, nothing is too much. The rooms are beautiful. I've always had an amazing view over Delhi. The pool is lovely. Great place to relax and refresh after being out in the busy city. I love this hotel.I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Me and my brother were given twin beds in room 1708. There was a damp smell as soon as we walked in. The picture above or bed was dirty and the floor not swept. The beds were too soft with thick

Love that this hotel is totally inclusive. I will recommend to all friends who value inclusion who are visiting Delhi. Also love that it is roughly 10 min walking by foot from CP. So easy to get to shopping areas!
