Galway Bay Hotel

Great location near the ocean and promenade. Seems like an old school family resort from back in the day.

The property was quiet and well kept

Was a lovely place to stay right across from beach. Was within walking distance to the centre of Galway. Wished we stayed longer than 1 night. Would definately stay again. Breakfast was delicious.

We had such a lovely stay at Galway Bay Hotel. We arrived early and the staff stored our luggage for us while we explored the town. The staff was wonderful and made us feel so welcome. The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfasts, which were included, were amazing as was our dinner at Bay Brasserie. The staff was top notch and very attentive. One tip - reserve your meal times! We took the Aran Island Ferry out of Galway City, a short 10 minute taxi ride from the hotel, which was super convenient. The hotel is across the street from the bay and many people were taking a dip, even in early April waters! Next door is a super fun small amusement park with rides for all ages. Take the ferris wheel at sunset for a glorious view!

We arrived after a long day of sightseeing and driving.The hotel is perfectly located across from the promenade and parking is plentiful and easy. The front desk staff was welcoming and the room was lovely. The food was tasty and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We were only there for one night, but I would recommend a longer stay.

Beautiful location with views of the bay!

We encountered several issues with our bathroom during our stay. The shower was extremely difficult to turn on and off, often resulting in it dripping continuously after use. There was severe mold in the grout of the tub, and the shower curtain was made of thin, low-quality material that clung to the skin when the water was running, requiring us to hold it down while showering. Additionally, the towel shelf was loosely attached to the wall near the shower entrance, causing towels to frequently fall into the water. We reported these issues to the management team, who attempted to resolve them, but unfortunately, our second night was even worse than the first. Instead of replacing the shower curtain, they simply added another, which did not fix the issue. The curtain rod was rehung too high, causing water to soak the entire bathroom. Additionally, maintenance accidentally cracked the ceramic in the tub, leaving noticeable damaged spots. I spoke to management again, and they assured us the issues would be resolved and that we would receive a credit for the inconvenience. However, we have yet to see any follow-up or compensation.

I checked on line but unfortunately I had to wait about 15mins approx as a group were ahead. The receptionist was very apologetic She was very pleasant however I think she could have done with help as there was another waiting behind me. I had no fault after that. I will come back again.

Great stay, amazing room & views, good service, and the breakfast was very good! They were amazing with my allergies as well which is always a relief!

Beautiful property

This is a must stay if your traveling to Galway and needing a place for the week or night. Easy parking, friendly staff, much nicer showers than most I've stayed at across Ireland. Only "small" complaint the TV size was a little disappointing but I was only in for the night on a work trip so didn't affect my stay.

It was a very comfortable stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was great and the breakfasts were very tasty. Would definitely visit again.
