Trim Castle Hotel

Room was ok bit very overpriced. Gotta say, not being able to get as much as a bag of peanuts at 1am is ludicrous.

Room was clean but 'king bed' was two twins pushed together - mattresses needed to be flipped as they sloped to the outside. We didn't get clean towels (or clean glasses) for the room service even though we left the used towels on the tub. We had to request clean towels. The breakfast was unimpressive. The staff was all business... not the friendly interaction we were used to at all the other hotels we stayed at in Ireland. Location was good for the castle tour (recommend the guided tour). Best part were the dinners we had at the Stockhouse restaurant across the street. Exceptional food and friendly staff.

The hotel was nice and clean, we gound parking convenient, we ate at the StockHouse across the road which was very good. Breakfast was table service only, most other hotels did half table, half self serve which we enjoyed much more.

The property is well situated for an easy walk to town,the castle, and the church. Clean and nice balcony to view castle at night. Our room was good, but very warm with no cooling air conditioning, so we opened the window for some air, which didn't help much. Our room was in the back over the parking lot, and I was kept up from 11:00 till 2:00 with the sounds of people partying on Saturday night. The breakfast was delicious.

It was absolutely beautiful. The only thing is there is no air conditioning, microwave or small refrigerator in the rooms. The dining room staff was amazing. Thank you so much for a great 5 day stay.

The room and hotel were wonderful; the music pounding half of the night made sleeping impossible.

The live music until 2am was extremely excessive for a hotel of this magnitude. Wouldn’t stay again. Staff was amazing. Rooms were great but if you don’t have a venue for live music that does not interfere with a significant number of guests, you should not offer it.

Expedia says they have laundry facilities. The hotel can send your laundry out for a fee. Takes 24 hours to return.

Beautiful location! View of Trim Castle was an added bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was super clean. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous place, Trim is beautiful. Nothing to fault about the hotel, top class service, warm and welcoming and completely hassle free. Perfect and looking forward to returning soon

Sits right next to Trim Castle with neautiful views. Lovely rooms and setting. Only megative ia that aervice was slow at the restaurant amd there is no AC

Booked a night at Trim Castle Hotel to return for a funeral. The room rate was already pretty high but the stay was necessary. Was not told at the time of booking or even on arrival / check-in that there was a wedding in the hotel. The fact that there was a wedding is not the issue but the rooms are clearly not sound proofed - between unruly children room and screaming (wildly) up and door the halls outside the bedrooms until the early hours (as late as 2am) and with pounding dance music (the techno variety not the old school wedding variety) vibrating the bedroom walls until after 2am... It became a bit crazy after a while, so complaints were made but nothing was done beyond a comment to say, "well, it's a wedding". I get that but at least speak to the wedding group asking them to not let their kids run around the bedroom hallways or play in the lifts. At least have some form of volume control on the music. At least wrap it up at a reasonable hour. On check out, I wasn't even asked "how was your stay?" or the minimum "was everything okay for you?" It was simply, "Yeah you're all good". I had to complain but tried to do it in a non-NIMBY, understanding way - receptionist just shrugged their shoulders and said, "Yeah, well you know how these things are..." <- paraphrased to be fair. The lack of a heads up, exuberant price, zero customer care or consideration during the night & the "I couldn't care less" attitude of staff on check out really turned me off staying here again
