The fact that we could travel around Venice by boat transportation very easily just like using public transportation metro or bus but on water the hotel is very nice with beautiful decor and pretty decent breakfast.

I booked this hotel because I found it in a list of family friendly hotels in Venice. We needed two rooms for our large family. Unfortunately they weren't adjoining but they were on the same floor and just two rooms apart. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful with recommendations in the area. They had a nice assortment of items for breakfast in the morning also. The location was super convenient to visit Doge's Palace and St Marks. Also convenient to a vaporetto stop.

Quiet, close to San Marco but away from crowds. Not a lot of foot traffic in the alleys around the hotel. Has lifts. Close to nice neighborhood restaurants. A bit dated but clean and with good air conditioning. Very close to water transport.

Wonderful. Classic rooms, modern enough with aircon, faded and eclectic to know you’re in Venice. Fantastic breakfast, lovely courtyard. Staff helpful and caring. Close to San Marco walking, San Zaccaria Vaporretto. Great to explore to alleyways and bridges in behind, full of restaurants and shops.

This Property is in an Amazing location quietly tucked 100 feet up a walkway alley from the main canal. The public water bus "boat" drops you feet from the hotel. In case you don't know you have to either walk or take the public water buses or hire a water taxi to get around Venice. The train is the connection to the mainland. The Hotel is Beautiful and the staff are amazing! You can not go wrong with a stay at this beautiful, boutique location. You can feel the history and you are 200 yards straight walk from the Hotel to Piazza San Marco, the center and most frequented part of Venice. Believe me that is a unique surprise in Venice. Usually you are busy getting lost trying to navigate the twist and turns of the streets and canals of Venice, which is the fun part. If you don't like a challenge do not go to Venice. Venice works at its own pace and it takes time to get around. I also have give a major thanks to the hotel Bisanzio front desk staff. I wish I knew the mans name. We were checking out June 20th 2025 and there was a transportation strike leaving us stranded in Venice and he helped us find a way to leave Venice and make it to Zurich Switzerland by train. Venice was by far my Wife's favorite destination on our multi country European train trip and a lot of it had to do with Hotel Bisanzio! Grazie Mille!

The hotel is traditional and situated close to all the major tourist sites. Our room with balcony had a pleasant city view and the breakfast courtyard is a lovely outside space. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we would happily return for a longer stay.
