Rooms bathroom too small

The room was excessively hot at 26 C (79 F) and the thermostat was blowing warm air despite been set at 21 C. When I called the reception, I was told there was no AC available and that I should just open my window as it was cold enough outside. The only problem was that there was no screen to prevent flies and wasps from entering the bedroom and secondly our room was right above the mechanical systems/pumps for the pools. Therefore on top of having bugs in our room we had to put up with the noise and didn’t end up sleeping much at all. The hotel didn’t attempt to fix issue when brought up the evening before or at checkout. On the contrary, they rather said that North Americans were just use to colder room than Europeans - I’m laughing at it now but I was far from impressed by their responses or establishment overall. I figured the only reason they have good rating overall was from the load of older tourist that come to Abano for the “termes and spas”. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a true 4 star hotel, enjoy a bit of luxury and/or are looking for a bit of intimacy or romantic set up, stay away from this hotel.

Overall, I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel desk clerks were outstanding...very helpful. As soon as I checked in, I was handed a small warm, wet hand/face towel (the type you get on an airplane). The clerk also offered to tour me around the hotel anytime I wanted (she eventually showed me the pool area). The room (a good size for a single person although there are larger and better rooms available for couples) was clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well too. There were several small and medium size pools available, plus a quiet/reading area with hammocks, rocking chairs, loungers and gas fireplace. There is also a day spa. As for the hotel restaurant, the host was pleasant and spoke English (as did my waiter). I paid half board of 22 euros for dinner. Although the buffet appetizers were good (included in the price), such as salad, risotto, bread, vegetables, cheese etc. my dinner was not good. The pumpkin flavored soup was surprisingly bland and the seabass was flavorless and dry. The buffet desserts were good though. As for the buffet breakfast, there was bread, cereal, eggs, fruit, cakes, etc. I enjoyed the breakfast, including the chocolate chip cookies which were delicious. Although the check-out time is 11 AM, the hotel graciously allows its guests to enjoy the pools the rest of the day (there are showers in the pool area to clean up afterwards).

It is difficult to convey just how dreadful was our experience at this clean and attractive-looking hotel. Dinner was literally inedible -- I subsisted on breaksticks after choking on a slimy piece of fish, while my companion's veal cutlet was tough and tasteless -- and the waiters repeatedly confused our orders. A request to speak to the manager was dismissed on the grounds that he was "not in the building." Breakfast was not much better (an omelette was at least edible) but a simple request for a coffee, in passable Italian, was garbled beyond recognition. The only attentive "service" we received was the humiliating experience of the desk clerk rushing out to block our car in the driveway as we were leaving, to demand, on pain of a 10-euro fine, the return of a keycard for the room. The town is packed with hotels, but few restaurants, and your GPS may direct you the wrong way up one-way streets if, against all reason, you try to find this place. Don't subject yourself to it unless you're over 80, speak only Russian, and are looking for a quack "cure" in the hot springs!

This hotel was amazing! I would classify it as a wellness/health spa. They have lots of pools (in & out door), spa, restaurant, and little bar. I wanted to get a facial the morning before I left. They were all booked, but the women at the front desk was so nice. She called a part-time specialist that was able to come in just for my facial! Not only was I happy with the facial it was incredibly accommodating in making it happen!

Esperienza positivissima

Salve, vengo spesso in questo hotel e mi trovo sempre benissimo. Volevo però fare presente che le ultime volte, prenotando sempre lo stesso tipo di camera, mai mi è capitata con un balcone. Questa volta, inoltre, la cena con supplemento 10 euro se si prenota in loco, mi sembra eccessivo e cmq da comunicare subito al momento della richiesta. Per il resto sempre un ambiente incantevole e rilassante.

Keine Kosmetiktücher, keine Hinweise auf Toiletten, Pooltuchwechsel schwierig, Massageleistung entsprach nicht der Info der Rezeption.
