Staff were great. Hotel has a back door leading to a beautiful garden. Room can use some update. Possibly a new bed. Very basic amenities. Small bottle of shampoo and conditioner and small bar of soap. No facial tissue, cups, coffee, etc. Short walk to the Central Station.

Room had moldy, stale cigarette smoke smell. Carpets ancient and dirty. Wallpaper old and dirty and peeling off the walls. Bathroom door with severe water damage, did not close. Party in a room on the same floor as mine that spilled into the hallway - extremely noisy, lasted a few hours. Property said it had breakfast but did not. Bathroom in good condition. Furniture worn and dirty. Very convenient to transportation but neighborhood wasn’t the best.

Staff very nice and helpful. Windows opening on to the patio would benefit from screens. Immediate location is one of car parts, construction equipment and hardware stores. One good restaurant around the corner otherwise 15-20 min walk to "center". Pool closed, so you need to check about opening schedule.

The property is old and tired and moldy. The staff was only adequately attentive to a leaky sink. One room (2 rooms booked) never experienced hot water. That said the property is close to the train station and within walking distance to all Catania has to offer. The best part of our stay was the delightful breakfast and pretty courtyard.

A good stay. Hotel is really close to the main train station, which is welcome after a long trip. Check in was efficient & friendly. Room wasn't the biggest but was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was actually quite large, again very clean. Shower was double sized and had great water pressure. Air con was good & powerful. There was an outside sitting area (shared) which was really nice. Breakfast was included in the rate, which I was surprised at because the rate was such good value. It was a buffet style and the seating areas for eating were really nice. The coffee was made for you, fresh - a nice touch. The area it was in was a bit sketchy, to be honest. It was totally fine if you were coming from the train station, but I then went out to find a bar and went further on in the same direction. It wasn't great, so I bought a couple of beers to go and went back to the room. Also, the hotel didn't have a bottle owner.....bear that in mind. It's essentially an "old fashioned" hotel. Cleaners, reception, decor, breakfast service. All very welcome when lots of hotels say they're "coming up with innovative solutions" when in fact they're just cost cutting. This place isn't that. I would definitely stay there again though. The value, the outside areas and the good standard of cleanliness makes it an easy decision.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the railway station. Don’t be put off by the scruffy surroundings and grafittied exterior, as the internal courtyard where breakfast is served is a quiet oasis and we had a room which opened onto it. Room was large and comfortable, buffet breakfast very good. Communication was good. We’d asked about a kettle and one was provided. Female receptionist was particularly friendly and helpful.

The pictures on Hotels.com are very deceiving for this hotel. In person this place is very run down, dirty and while the courtyard is nice to look at, the actual rooms are not worth the money. I booked a room and when I walked in there were 20+ mosquitos in there. Front desk had to confirm before offering me a different room. Then the second room had obvious bed bugs on the white sheets (photos provided to hotel staff for all of this). They wanted me to try a third room but I declined and asked for a refund. Hotel Manager said that I needed to go through Hotels.com and then Hotels.com said they needed permission from the Hotel Manager to get me a refund. Finally, Hotels.com said they tried to reach the manager a couple of times and couldn’t so no refund was given. It doesn’t matter that I didn’t stay there or that I had photos of everything. They try to dumb it down to say bed bugs were just a cleanliness issue. No way! Never recommending this place to anyone.
