The room was spotless, whenever I put the trash outside the door they cleaned it up quickly. The room is actually pretty big for a Japanese hotel, if it’s just one person that is. There was enough under the bed space for more than one suitcase. This hotel is right in front of the train station, and the popular destinations like Ikebukuro, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and Shibuya are all like 20-30 minutes away by train. The surrounding area itself is good too with having a lot of places to eat and there’s a Don Qujiote like 10 steps away from the hotel lobby.

Loving my stay here at Akabaneholic! This is the first time I’m staying here and the 2nd hotel I’m staying at since returning to Japan. It’s clean and safe, and it has a sleek modern design. The first couple nights I stayed in a Double room (with a queen size bed), and my 3rd night is in the Superior Hollywood Twin room (which has 2 twin beds & is a bit more spacious). The breakfast buffet has a great selection, and I love the onsen. Also, they have complimentary Ochazuke time and afternoon tea Monday-Thursday, which is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s close to the JR station, which is convenient.

It’s just 4 minutes walk from the Akabane station. There are a lot of local shops around. The room I stayed was a loft type with high ceiling. Although size wise is small and you did not feel compact inside. I can have two big suitcases lying on the floor. The food of their restaurant was good with reasonable price.

Great spot to stay in Tokyo - exceeded our expectations! Room was a reasonable size by Tokyo standards and bed being elevated off the ground meant we could store our suitcases underneath to free up floor space. Toilet being separate from the shower was handy. Location was good - quick, easy walk (even with suitcases) to train station. Only downside was that we wanted to sit in the downstairs communal area to get some work done on our laptops (no space to do this in our room) but were told we couldn't use this area during breakfast as we were not paying to have the breakfast buffet.

Excellent service, excellent facilities. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Speak English perfectly, eager to help guests. Rooms are small but very clean and tidy. Loved the area, Akabane is Tokyo without the crowds!
