Been here for 8 nights and it was a great experience. The hotel is so clean and everything is available for comfort. Very close walking distance, 1 minute to the station. So very convenient. Would love to come back.

The single room is very comfortable and the size is decent enough if you bring along a medium size luggage and a bag pack. You have enough space to move around. The toilet and bathtub is clean and I like the smell of the shampoo too. The location is nearby Akihabara Station. A good hotel to explore the surrounding area.

Great location, close to Akihabara Station (JR line) and metro line as well with a very clean hotel room. Can get amenities that we need at the lobby on the third floor. The staffs are very friendly and speak English fluently.

How to go to Akihabara Washington Hotel from Airport

Getting from the airport to Akihabara Washington Hotel is a breeze with several convenient options. Whether you're looking for the fastest route or the most budget-friendly one, Tokyo has you covered. Here's a breakdown of your hotel transfer options from Narita (NRT) or Haneda (HND) airports to the hotel:

  • Taxi

(most direct): A taxi is the most direct way to get to the hotel. You can find taxi stands outside both Narita and Haneda airports. Be prepared for a potentially higher fare, especially from Narita.
  • Airport Limousine Bus

(comfortable and convenient): The Airport Limousine Bus offers a comfortable and direct transfer to major hotels in Tokyo, including some near Akihabara. Check if there's a direct service to a hotel nearby, and then take a short taxi or train ride to Akihabara Washington Hotel.
  • Narita Express (N'EX) or Keisei Skyliner + Train

(faster train option from Narita): From Narita, take the Narita Express to Tokyo Station, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line to Akihabara Station. Alternatively, take the Keisei Skyliner to Ueno Station, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line to Akihabara Station.
  • Keikyu Line + Train

(faster train option from Haneda): From Haneda, take the Keikyu Line to Shinagawa Station, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line to Akihabara Station.
  • Train (JR Lines)

(most affordable): From Narita, take the JR Sobu Line (Rapid) directly to Akihabara Station. From Haneda, take the Keikyu Line to Shinagawa Station, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line to Akihabara Station. This is generally the most affordable option, but it may involve more transfers and take longer.
  • Ride Hailing

(convenient but potentially expensive): Ride Hailing services are available in Tokyo, but they can be more expensive than taxis, especially during peak hours.

Tips:

For the most convenient route, consider the Airport Limousine Bus if available to a nearby hotel. If you're on a budget, the JR train lines are a great option. Purchase a Suica or Pasmo card for easy payment on trains and buses.

I had a wonderful stay at the Akihabara Washington Hotel and would absolutely give it five stars. The location is excellent, especially for exploring Akihabara and getting around Tokyo easily. The hotel felt safe, organized, and comfortable throughout my stay. What stood out most was the staff. Every interaction I had was positive. The front desk team was kind, patient, and genuinely helpful whenever I had questions. Their professionalism made the experience smooth and welcoming from check-in to check-out. The room itself was comfortable and served its purpose well. Housekeeping did a solid job, and the overall environment felt calm and well managed. There are just a couple areas where I think improvement would make the stay even better. The walls in some areas looked like they were due for a fresh coat of paint, which would really brighten things up. Also, the dryers in the laundry area were unfortunately very ineffective. It was difficult to properly dry clothes, which made doing laundry in the hotel frustrating. Overall, though, I truly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. The staff alone made it worth it, and I appreciate the hospitality very much.

While there were a few positive aspects to my stay, the overall experience was disappointing and not one I would recommend. On the positive side, the breakfast offered a wide variety of options each day, including both Japanese and Western selections. Although the menu did not change, the range of choices was generous, and the restaurant staff were consistently polite and friendly. Unfortunately, the front desk experience was quite the opposite. The staff at the counter were not welcoming, which made interactions feel uncomfortable and transactional. Additionally, the hotel applied several unexpected charges. I was billed for a lost key card and also charged for disposing of a broken piece of luggage. While I did not dispute these charges and paid them as requested, the overall experience felt overly restrictive and left me feeling nickel-and-dimed. Because of these issues, I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel to others.

The location was very ideal for shopping, eating, and transiting to different areas of Tokyo. Lots of great places to eat in the area. The hotel is also close to a pickup location for limousine bus shuttle service to Haneda airport for a very reasonable rate (way better than lugging your heavy luggage through those subway stairs). The hotel was clean with friendly and helpful staff. I especially loved their self bag storage system. It was so convenient to check out early and store your bags until departure.

Overall staff was courteous. Hotel and room was clean. Great location, we liked that the access to the JR and Metro lines were only 5 minutes away. And as well as the shuttle to the airport.

the room had a lovely view of the kanda river plus the hotel was right next to the train station so it was very convenient for busy days and of course the main reason i booked was because it is super close to Akihabara’s main street
