APA Hotel Hamamatsueki Minami

A good place to be if you just want a place to shower, sleep and a simple breakfast near the train station for a low price. The place just meets all the basic criteria.

Rooms are very small. No common bath. Kind of old hotel. Staff is ok. Breakfast was great!

Good location and easy to navigate around sites.

Because I had chosen cheaper price, I got tiny room.But it is in Japan, everything is small and compact. I stayed 5 night in there but I did not pay too much. Very good price and experience.The hotel is close to the station. I walked to the station every day. Around the station, there are shopping district and lots of restaurants. Eating out was fun with a lot of varieties and inexpensive. The hotel is close to convenience store. I shopped big bottled water, ice cream packed food and deserts at the convenience store and brought to my room to save money. I took bus and train to go to shopping mall, beach, castle, parks and zoo from the station. Without rental cars, we can go to everywhere in Hamamatsu. It is convenient.My whole stay was compact and convenient!

It was very reasonable. So you shouldn't expect too much luxury in that stay, because the equipment is suitable for its price.

It was an alright stay. I didn't come in expecting a 4 star elegant hotel y'know and of course it's not what I got but the amenities were good. the bes was comfortable and in general it was clean, conveniently located, inexpensive & reliable. just what I needed. However, if you're averse to the smell of cigarettes though I can't recommend it. Even though I stayed in a smoke-free room (supposedly) from the elevator ride up from the lobby to the hallways to even the room I was in- it reeked so bad. I had to sleep with the window open even though it's winter weather.

The room I stayed in needs some work. The walls of bathroom weren’t clean as you’d expect. Seemed pretty old to me.

For an APA this was by far the worst I’ve stayed in. The room size was ok, storage was great but the room was disgustingly dirty. I usually rave about APA hotels and is my first go to when booking, but after this I’m not so keen

The toilet is not working properly. The room I booked was "non-smoking" but the one they gave me smelt like smoke.

Super Clean, and in a great Location!

Bed was really hard and could feel the springs in the mattress the hotel also smelt of smoke (more than usual you can put up with a little case you’re in Japan) Paper thin walls so you felt like next doors room was in yours

Small room with inadequate storage space for 2 large suitcases. OK for one night though - helpful staff.

Tiny room - no ac - big price

The single room was very small but this was not dissimilar to the other hotels I stayed in. The location was not very far from the bus and train stations so this was a plus.

A three night stay. The room we had was very small by western standards. The bathroom was even smaller. However it was very good value for money if you only wanted the room for sleeping. The room was well heated/ cooled as you like and had a decent shower. The Hamamatsu area is probably not on the tourist trail as such but if you had a set programme of places to visit, then you could fill in time very well. Our visit here was a completely random choice. The Suzuki Museum and the Museum of Musical Instruments were a good choice. The Flower Park was missed because the directions were a bit obscure.

Small room for two person, barely any space to open your luggage, room shows a bit of age.

This an older hotel that has seen better days. The main discomfort was the strong cigarette smell in the lobby, hallways, and non-smoking rooms. The room was dirty and not well-maintained. I’m only 5’3 and I barely fit in the shower. I was scheduled to stay 6 nights, but I could only survive 2 and changed to a different hotel.
