The hotel is very family friendly. This is my second stay at this hotel and they upgraded our room. The bed was comfortable, the room is spacious enough for the 5 of us (2A3C). Love the snack & drink bar at the hotel, we can relax & rest well and the vibe is very calming & relaxing. There is a playground just next to the hotel and my kids love it.

The staff at Tanakaya Hotel Kyoto are truly exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and attended to throughout their stay. Upon entering my room, I was immediately struck by the seamless blend of modern amenities and traditional Kyoto-Japanese artistry. The decoration was elegant yet understated, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. I had a very pleasant stay at Kyoto Tower Hotel Annex. We stayed for several nights, and everything about the experience was comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The room was fairly spacious, and so was the bathroom, which is a nice bonus for hotels in Japan. One of my favorite parts was the view of Kyoto Tower right from our room—it was beautiful, especially at night. The location is also convenient, within walking distance to Kyoto Station and close to many attractions, yet still in a quiet area. The amenities were complete, and the price was reasonable considering the quality and comfort offered. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Kyoto. Highly recommended!
