The hotel is very close to Meguro station. The atmosphere is quiet, safe and peaceful. There are many culinary delights around the hotel. The hotel's equipment includes a hairdryer, mini fridge, all kinds of soap, etc. The rooms are cleaned every day. Definitely recommended. Oh yeah, breakfast is just a coffee break, and the snacks are also delicious.

More about hotels in Meguro

About Meguro

Meguro is a calm and stylish area in southwest Tokyo, perfect for travellers who want a peaceful break from the busy city. It's easy to reach by train and is most famous for the Meguro River, especially during cherry blossom season in late March to early April. Visitors can enjoy quiet walks, visit the elegant Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, explore the unique Meguro Parasitological Museum, or see 500 stone Buddha statues at Gohyaku Rakanji Temple. The area also has many cosy cafés, local shops, and tasty sushi spots. Meguro is a great place to stay if you want a relaxing atmosphere with easy access to central Tokyo.

The best attractions to visit in Meguro

One of the best attractions in Meguro is the Meguro River, especially during the cherry blossom season. The river is lined with hundreds of cherry trees, creating a breathtaking tunnel of pink and white flowers when they bloom in late March to early April. It’s a popular spot for hanami (flower viewing) and is perfect for taking photos, enjoying a peaceful walk, or even a boat ride along the water. The riverbanks are dotted with cafés, restaurants, and small shops, so you can relax and soak in the beauty while enjoying local food or a cup of coffee.

Aside from the cherry blossoms in spring, Meguro River is beautiful throughout the year. In the autumn, the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and yellow, making it another great time to visit. The area is less crowded than other popular sakura spots in Tokyo, providing a more tranquil experience. Whether you're visiting for the seasonal beauty or simply to enjoy the calm atmosphere, Meguro River offers a serene escape in the heart of Tokyo.

How safe is Meguro for tourists?

Meguro is a very safe area for tourists. Like most parts of Tokyo, it has low crime rates and is known for its clean, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. The neighbourhood is quiet and residential, with well-lit streets and regular police presence, making it ideal for walking around, even at night. Most locals are used to tourists and are helpful if you need directions. Of course, like anywhere, it's always a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings, but overall, Meguro is one of the safest and most pleasant areas for visitors in Tokyo.

What is the weather like in Meguro?

The weather in Meguro, like the rest of Tokyo, varies across the seasons, with distinct differences between summer, winter, and the in-between seasons. Spring (March to May) is mild and one of the best times to visit, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F). This season is famous for the cherry blossoms along Meguro River, making it a popular time for visitors. Summer (June to August) is warm and humid, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C (86°F). The humidity can make it feel hotter, but you can find relief in the shaded areas and air-conditioned cafés. July and August also bring occasional rain from the summer monsoon season.

Autumn (September to November) is another great time to visit, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). The weather is cooler and more comfortable, and the fall foliage along the Meguro River adds to the charm of the area. Winter (December to February) is relatively cold, with temperatures ranging from 0°C to 10°C (32°F to 50°F). Snow is rare, but it can get chilly, so it's a good idea to dress warmly. Overall, Meguro offers a variety of weather conditions, with pleasant seasons in spring and autumn being particularly ideal for sightseeing.
