I could walk for miles to get a great workout from this property. It has pools, several restaurants, a great 7/11, a coffee shop, beautiful gardens, and taxis that are always available for departure. The location is next to many train stations and it is a 30 minute taxi drive to major shopping districts. Also, the shower kit is quality and amenities too. They provided free water for us everyday.

It’s still a decent Prince hotel despite it’s the furtherest one from the Shinagawa station out of all the Prince hotels. As usual, the service is friendly and on point. I even got to check-in an hour earlier than the check-in time. The garden is beautiful especially at night. As a pro tip, the shortest path to walk to the Shinagawa train station is to actually across the garden and through the Sakura Tower lobby. As the hotel is being renovated, some amenities are temporarily unavailable. I’m looking forward to return once the renovation is done.

The hotel + Grand Prince area is huge! We expected to have a wander round the gardens and eat in on of the restaurants but we ran out of time. It’s a business hotel which is quite dated. There were renovations happening during our stay so it looks like they’re upgrading. Staff were friendly and a good level of English. Room was huge and bathroom facilities were great. The biggest con was walking up the hill from Shinagawa station to the hotel - not for the faint hearted, especially in the August heat! There is a shuttle between the hotels which is helpful.

The gardens for the property and the other Prince hotels were beautiful. The 7-11 in the lobby was very convenient for a late night snack and quick morning coffee. Access to Shinagawa Station was welcome after our Shinkansen from Kyoto, and access to the Yamamoto line for getting around Tokyo after arrival. There was significant construction in front of the hotel that made walking from the station a bit tricky, but we were able to access through the Prince Sakura Tower.

The room smell was awful. Bathroom had something broken I guess. It smelled like it had never been cleaned and something was growing in the pipes.. so bad it made my clothes smell.

Loved the hotel with a great room and bed size. Only downfall was having to walk up a short hill to get to the hotel from train station.

Noise at construction site was intermittently disrupting; access to the hotel pool is a major problem…. If you stay at Grand Prince Takanawa, should you have to pay to swim in the advertised hotel pools ? It seems wrong

It was average. The garden is beautiful and the common areas are pristine, but the room itself was old with peeling paint, especially in the bathroom. It is so pretty far from central areas of Tokyo. Definitely not a hotel I would classify as 4 star.

Great clean property with plenty of room for the whole family. Toilets are located on floor 1 and 3. No toilet in the wet (shower) room on two. Kitchen was nicely stocked.

We loved our stay. Beautiful hotel, with beautiful gardens, and spacious rooms. Great breakfast choices in the Club lounge breakfast. Convenient for access to the Shinkansen and airport trains
