Excellent!

Very cute and traditional place. Couldnt choose non smoking so had to open windows whole night.

Breakfasts were excellent. Every staff were friendly and we really felt like home. Location is nearby the major travel spot but not noisy. Everything is good, just a very little thing: moved luggages by hand to room at 2nd floor. To me as a hushand and a daddy, it meant luggages of 3 persons I moved.

Seperate baths allows guests to enjoy hot spring privately.

the hotel is very nice and the bed is super comfortable. I give 5 star to everything. my only suggestion is that the breakfast can be added with more nutrition value. there was no egg nor fish, a lot of rice. I can see it might be something traditional, but could use more protein.

Absolutely loved our story here. If you book here, get the Sora room. It is worth it. It has its own private bath and lots of space. We loved it. And the town surrounding, is so cute and fun to walk around. It is a short walk from the bus when you arrive. The staff was so welcoming and sweet. We highly recommend staying here.

A pleasant and a wonderful experience!

My two adult sons and daughter in law and I were very happy with our overnight at Hanaingen. We arrived an hour early for checkin but we were greeted warmly with wonderful local sweets and macha. The traditional tatami rooms had comfortable beds plus the usual modern hotel amenities. The four private Onsen rooms are convenient to access plus you're minutes away from Yubataka and the bus terminal in this very walkable town. The beautiful breakfast included with the room is another highlight. Highly recommend!

Location is excellent, stay was pleasant, 4 separate room hot tub spring baths were excellent 👍 if only bed not too soft and old, this will be a 5 stars gem.

Central located lodging with 4 private onsen you can use during your stay. Comes with Welcome tea & sweets and Healthy breakfast. Friendly staff.

Nice place to stay near the center of Kusatsu. Convenient for all the onsen.

It doesn't worth the money we paid. We used to stay in other onsend the facities are much better than this. Over-priced indeed.

Very comfortable and relaxing, yet poor sound insulation.

This hotel is small but is walking distance to the city onsen. There are several ladies working there but only one working at the reception desk speaks a few English words. The room is much smaller than the pictures shown on the internet. There is no shower in the room. Guests have to use the hot spring room on the first floor to take a bath. There are 4-5 of them. There is sign on each bathroom door to indicate it is in use or vacant. The hot spring water temperature was just too high that I couldn’t even dip my foot in. I just used the bucket provided to pour the water on my body to finish my bath.

Fantistic little traditional Japanese Inn with private onsen on site. Wonderful staff. Incredible traditional Japanese breakfast.

Everything great .staff is friendly . Will be back
