The room was adjacent to the subway line, with single-glazed windows. The toilet seat was not attached, one of the window latches was missing, and the room was generally in poor condition. The room was smoking, even though the info on hotels.com made no mention. After booking a new hotel I canceled the 2nd night. The owner refused to give any refund saying, "Its' a cheap hotel." When I said it's false advertising to call it a 2.5-star hotel, the owner claimed he doesn't set the rating.

Atmosphere: Cat toys in cafe entrance indicate that a cat resides in this hotel -cat allergy sufferers beware; Service: Very warm and friendly staff (I think some English is spoken but I stuck with Japanese for practice) -I think Japan has some of the warmest and friendliest service in the world so long as one is prepared for a potential language barrier; Cost: Cheap; Experience: My friend and I came to visit my bartender friend so we only used the room for sleeping. It has tatami-styled rooms with your average futons so take that as you will. The toilet room was claustrophobic, but the bathing room had enough space for washing on a sitting stool (or standing) and relaxing in the nearby tub. I don't think you are supposed to wash in the tub but rather on the stool outside of it. Late at night the cat did make noises as if it was in heat or spoiled enough to get its way but that only lasted for a few minutes. Passing trains are loud but only make noises during operating hours (5 am to midnight), so they actually helped as an alarm clock and didn't bother sleep from visiting a local bar.

We booked on line the day before our trip. It was tricky to find and our room was right under the train tracks. The room was clean and met all our basic needs well including cotton yukata for sleeping in. The sundries were well stocked and high quality, the shower and toilet facilities were outdated, inadequately vented, in general musty and moldy. The staff was kind and went out of their way to help us.

It's a convenient location since it's very near the Temma JR station, which is also a stop away from Osaka Station. If you're looking for a location near KIX and you're arriving at night, you might want to consider another hotel though. I do like the fact that there is a 7-11 beside it, which is good in the morning when you're rushing for your first destination and need a quick breakfast. (You have a fridge inside your room where you can keep your water and food if necessary.) You get your own bathroom. The shower is separated from the toilet. I was surprised I had a squat toilet though as I was expecting a Western one, but I didn't mind at all as I am used to this and I was only there for 2 nights. I also love the fact that they had 2 sociable cats roaming around the hotel. If you love animals, then it's a plus! Also, beware of the train noise at night. It didn't bother me so much though since I was always exhausted at night time and I found it easy to sleep. If you're looking for an affordable place for a short time, located at the Osaka Loop Line, this place may suffice. If you don't speak Japanese, bring a handy dictionary along. Out of the 3 staff members, 1 didn't speak Japanese and whom I encountered upon checkin at night. I was lucky to have a local with me though.

The room is next to the railway. It just likes earthquake when the train passes. The toilet is terrible. No WiFi.

Staff was very accommodating, hotel is next to train station (which means when you look out your hotel window, the train tracks are right there), no wifi, close to shops

猫ちゃんたちは可愛い。トイレは狭くて使いにくかった。電車は確かにうるさかったですね
