Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura

Great location from station and main street. Nice touches in the lobby are appreciated - cold towels and the designed terrariums. Rooms are comfortable and well designed.

Extremely comfortable and large room within a stylish and well appointed property. Best amenities of any Hotel we stayed at in Japan. Close to main shopping street, short train to temples and walkable to beach.

This was my favorite hotel out of our entire trip. The room was comfortable, I LOVED the pajamas that were provided as well as the complimentary bath and beauty products. The service was SO friendly and attentive. The location was a short walk to one of the most beautiful temples I have ever seen and a variety of shops and places to get wonderful meals and treats. If you love coffee, I highly recommend going to Verve coffee- just a short walk away- to try their Valencia latte or pour overs. Kua’aina burger and the neighboring Hawaiian donut shop were also fantastic. Across the street from the hotel is a nice grocery store where you can try a variety of Japanese products and traditional foods. Kamakura as a destination is absolutely gorgeous and was my favorite destination in our trip. Enoshima is a short trip away and also incredible. Hotel Metropolitan is a perfect location to explore the whole area. Highly recommend!

High level of service. Great location. Comfortable beds and room size. Very happy with the overall stay. Its a good place to be for a visit to the area.

It’s a wonderful midsized hotel with plenty of places to dine in the neighborhood. My only complaint was there was no room service for dining.

Good location near everything

understated luxury, the superior room had more than enough space to accommodate 2 guests, perhaps too much for one person but it was a great experience. The room was cleaned everyday to original state when we first entered the room on the first day. The lobby staff was very helpful and over all we had a great time in Kamakura thanks to all the hotel staff.

From the moment we stepped in, we felt a real sense of calm and care for detail. The service was fantastic and the check in was smooth. Our room was a was beautiful and spacious with clean and fresh feel. We would most definitely recommend this hotel to any travelers who appreciate the thought that has gone into this place. Nice clean hotel near shopping and within walking distance of bus and metro Does not have in room dining service. But there is a cafe in first floor. Did not eat there so cannot comment on the food.
