Hotel Montagne Matsumoto

Walking distance from the train station thus the major commercial area, but while the hotel is clean, it’s dated. Yes all the photos of rooms are realistic but things are from the ‘90’s.

Good location

The hotel located on a quiet street near the train station. It’s convenient at reasonable price, overall it’s satisfactory.

This hotel is only good for one or at most two nights. The rooms were very small, breakfast was limited and the same each day. Staff spoke almost no English, so was hard to ask for assistance.

Best hotel during my 2 week holiday in Japan. Close to JR Matsumoto, friendly staff.

Great hotel, near the train so it's very nconvenient when you travel a lot. We would have take the breakfast there but the price was the same form my children(11 and 10) so it was to expensive for us.

Close to Matsumoto station, only 2 minute walk straight from Station West Exit, the Hotel building can be spot easily from the station hall. Hotel is on the quiet, residence side of the station. 15 minute-walk to Matsumoto castle. Our twin room was clean and spacious, comfortable for 4 people and large luggage. It has nice view of mountains. Buffet breafast was just ok, not many selections for both Asian and Western style. Food are same every day. In our booking, we booked 2 adults 2 children, but when we checked in the hotel charged us extra fee for breakfast for 2 children which was 1100 JPY for an 8yo and 550 JPY for a 4yo which was a bit expensive as to limited food. My children didn't eat much, all they can eat every morning was just 2 sausages, a bowl of cereal, a cup of juice. However, when we booked half-board, we didn't know it would be a Chinese ordered buffet style (you can order and eat as much as you can). We though it should be served as set menu or a la cart so we didn't want to pay extra for our kids for their own food. We thought we could share ours for them. After some confusing discussion due to language barrier, the manager at front desk came and offer free dinner for our kids which made us happier even though that our kids didn't eat much. Again, dinner menu was the same every day. The only benefit was we didn't have to walk outside in the cold weather roaming for food. However, we missed the chance to try a lots of local nice food in surrounding area.

Hotel close to train station but is at the back. Reaching there late at night is a bit scary. Good thing is that it is quite safe in Japan.

Good value hotel located just behind the train station in a pretty quiet neighborhood. Beds weren't super comfortable.

Room's clean and staffs are helpful. Great location! It's near to the JR station and walkable distant various attraction.

Simple hotel which serves our needs. The wide variety of food on the other side of the hotel was great.

Very convenient traveller's hotel right next to station and perfect for an overnight stay. Easy walk-able distance to the City's main eatery's and around 15 walk to the castle.

Close to the train station. Two min walk. Cant beat that.

We enjoyed our stay. We accidentally booked a smoking room, and the carpet and chair were noticeably worn, but everything else was impeccable. We'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

It was only for an overnight stop over and we purchased food from a large supermarket. The hotel was a little out of the way for restaraunts

朝食バイキングのコスパ最高でした。中華レストランならではの中華粥はいうに及ばず、和洋メニューも充実、新鮮な信州野菜のサラダは絶対食すべき！ フロント、レストラン、はじめ出会ったスタッフの皆さんがとても感じが良かったです。

松本駅アルプス口直近のホテル。トレインビューの部屋でした。 繁華街からは反対側なので、静かでゆっくりできます。ニッポンレンタカーが近くにあり、松本駅を拠点に車を借りて仕事や観光に便利なホテルだと思います。
