What Guests Say About Their Stay

Evan C. L.

As always, this hotel never disappoints, rooms are clean and neat. This time try the traditional rooms (tatami) overall the room size is wider (even for 2 adults and 1 child). Very close to Shinjuku shopping center and also Shinjuku Sanchome Station. Near the hotel there is also the MarT family and 7 Eleven and Sukiya. Will come back to this hotel.

This was a last minute reservation for me and it was suitable for my needs. I was in a western style room with 2 full sized beds and both were comfortable. The bedding was awesome. But I have to say this. If you're expecting the Hilton, Kempton or any other resort do yourself and the staff a favor and book there. The decor feels like its from the 1980's and I can imagine some people not being able to wrap their heads around using 2 separate elevators and a passage way between 2 buildings to get to your room. But, if you're looking fir or in need of a place to stay this place will fit the bill. I went out drinking and didn't want to catch the train back to my place

The staff were very accommodating and polite. The room was very clean, inexpensive, and perfect for 1-2 people to stay in. The hotel is situated perfectly near all the action in Shinjuku. Will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed here for only one night right when we arrived in Tokyo. It was exactly what we needed and was a great deal for the price we paid.

Everything was perfect but one member of the staff was very unkind. Asked about Yamahato for luggage transport and he shooed me away, literally. A couple of hours later, I wanted to give benefit of the doubt and tried to have nice, small talk. I asked about the minor earthquake and he said in his exact words: “in Japan, use Japanese language” VERY rudely! I always ask if they speak english and I have multiple translation apps on my phone ready but I assumed he was use to international tourists so it made me very upset. It honestly ruined my night, because his tone was very aggressive. I saw him the next morning for checkout and prepared my translations to avoid upsetting him but he took my key quickly and said “thank you” and I left as quick as I could. So just a heads up, this is the middle-aged man with black hair. I don’t want this to affect his job but I hope he can be trained better, all he had to say was no English instead of treating a customer poorly. The other two gentleman who both wore glasses were so lovely!

We only stayed here for one night but had no issues. It’s far enough away from the shopping area that you can’t hear it but not too far to walk. It’s also only about a 5 minute walk to the underground for Shinjuku-Sanchome station, this doesn’t always appear as an option on Google maps. The room was clean although quite small but we didn’t have suitcases with us so didn’t mind. The staff were so lovely! We were able to borrow an umbrella when it rained and leave our luggage in the lobby before check in. Overall I’d recommend staying at this hotel and if we ever return we’d definitely stay here again. I’d highly recommend taking a walk to Gyoen National garden, a lovely walk with traditional Japanese gardens and only cost about £2 to get in. We were in there for about an hour but didn’t feel like it.

Room was filthy, tiny, and had leaflets to escorts in the room. Not nice at all, clearly catering to the shinjuku after dark crowd. We checked in, spent 5 minutes in the closet you would call a room and swiftly booked a nicer place up the road (Citadines, beautiful for the price)

Surprisingly quiet side street convenient to Shinjuku, two subway lines, and the blossom-filled Shinjuku Gyoen park. The room was clean and efficient. A 500 yen charge for luggage storage was the only surprise.

Great stay. Small room but very clean, just a few spots on the wall. Location is amazing!

Room was bigger than some of the other hotels we looked at. Was handy to have space for luggage Could have been because of having 2 beds. Bathroom was right but adequate.
