What Guests Say About Their Stay

It's a good and big hotel. Near the station and everything you need. You can go there from the airport using a limousine bus, so you don't need to send luggage or carry the luggage from the train station. It will drop you right in front of the hotel lobby, and you can also book the limousine bus from the hotel concierge to go back to the airport. Very convenient.

Had a wonderful stay at the Keio Plaza Shinjuku. Our check-in process was quick, and we got a surprise upgrade thanks to Roman, the concierge, who made our stay that much more special. The rooms were large for Tokyo standards, and the bathroom included all the proper amenities. Service was excellent, of course, and I would say of a higher standard than the Keio Plaza Sapporo, where I had stayed prior. Location is close enough to Shinjuku but still a good 10-15 mins walk to the main Shinjuku station. Overall, would not hesitate to stay again whenever we are in Tokyo.

Breakfast here is a scam: think economy airplane-sized portions, terrible coffee, and when I complained to three staff members, nothing changed — just empty promises to “tell the manager.” Mr. Yutinori at the front desk even told me it was fine to leave a bad review on social media — but still refused a refund. The official hotel response? No refund, but please “give us another try for breakfast.” I can literally count on one hand the times I’ve formally complained about hotel food, but this was embarrassing to serve and even worse in how it was handled. For perspective, the airplane meal I had was superior. The staff at Keio should visit McDonald’s for basic training in customer service. I’ve stayed here multiple times and even recommended the hotel on my channel — but after this, I can’t endorse them anymore. Do better.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. This hotel absolutely hates its customers. Seen other reviews that confirm our experience, they will charge you at check in for minor things and charge you “their rate” vs a third party like Expedia. For what should have been a £5 charge, as confirmed by their own website, they charged me £115. We were only staying there one night, and they charge me £115 ON TOP of the £285 I already paid to stay there. Contacted Expedia who tried to get them to only charge the £5 but the hotel refused. Really got the feeling that they do not want foreigners staying at their hotel. Staff could have just easily ignored it, I would have tipped them £20. Instead they just told me they knew it was totally unfair and still charged me anyways. Again, it was £115 for just one night, it would have been £115 extra per night if we were staying longer. Stay anywhere else, other reviewers have confirmed this, you risk being charged hundreds on top of what you’ve already paid. They’ll just smile at you and tell you life is unfair.

This hotel was great—comfortable, clean, and easy to find. The only downside was the lack of communication with foreigners. The hotel is mostly filled with international guests, yet the front desk staff struggled to communicate or provide guidance. I didn’t get clear information until checkout, which was frustrating as a single mom traveling with two boys. Even when I asked the concierge, they weren’t able to help.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The check-in process was seamless, and I was immediately impressed by the elegant décor and inviting atmosphere. My room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with modern amenities and a comfortable bed that made for a perfect night’s sleep. Housekeeping maintained everything impeccably throughout my stay. The hotel’s dining options were outstanding—the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious choices, and the restaurant staff provided exceptional service. The location was also ideal, with easy access to local attractions, shopping, and transportation. What really set this hotel apart, however, was the genuine hospitality of the entire team. Every interaction, from the front desk to the concierge, felt thoughtful and personalized, making me feel like a truly valued guest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious, comfortable, and memorable experience. I look forward to returning!

We stayed at The Keio Plaza Premier Grand Hotel with Club Lounge Access. Check-in is on the top floor in the Lounge and was fast. The room was large and the lights and shades were adjustable via switches. There was a large shower and bathroom with L'Occitane amenities. Toilet is separate from the shower area. We had a view of the Metropolitan Government Building and were able to see the nightly Light Show projected on the building. The hotel is within an easy walk to Shinjuku Station, tons of restaurants, shopping and the area seemed very safe. The pool was not crowded when we went swimming around 5 PM (it was in the shade at that point) but the water was warm. We loved breakfast and tea in the lounge.

Nothing unique. You have to pay to use the pool. Starbucks was nearby. Bathroom was all plastic. The restaurants on the 7th floor were empty and you needed a reservation.

Keio Plaza is a massive Tokyo hotel in a bling style. The rooms are dated but ok. It suited me for location near the main bus station but apart from that, I wouldn’t stay there again

Great location, easy to get around and close to a lot of shopping and dining. My only complaint is the room we got smelled of smoke.
