This area really surprised me. It is remote but is beautiful! The resort is very old and needs a good cleaning. The entrance area had a mouldy smell, but the room were VERY big and clean!! Lots of room and liked the decor. I did like the private onsen, but it was not what I expected. It was more of a tube outside on your deck. I was expecting continuous hot water flow like in the public onsen.

部屋や設備はもちろん、とくにスタッフの方（特に女性のある方）がとても親切で気が付き、気さくな方で良かった。新館の温泉も、よかったが、こちらの大浴場も小さいながら設備やアメニティは揃っていて、とてもよかった。新館との渡り廊下で一部雨に濡れたが、フロントの方がさっと傘を持ってきてくれるなど、気配りがとてもよかった。

Das Hotel befindet sich in ca 2 km Entfernung zum Bahnhof Onoura. Taxis standen bereit. Über eine relativ steile Treppe ging es zum Hoteleingang. Da das Hotel eher auf japanisches Klientel ausgerichtet ist, kann man sich nur eingeschränkt mit Englisch verständigen. Achtung kein Lift vorhanden. Die gebuchten modernen Zimmer mit eigenem Onsen waren überraschend groß, sehr sauber, komfortabel und mit Blick auf Miyashima. Typisches japanisches Frühstück und Abendessen sind im Ryokan mit dabei. Transfer zum Bahnhof hat das Hotel gerne erledigt. Alles in allem vielleicht nicht nicht das traditionelle Ryokan-Feeling mit Tatamimatten, Reispapierlampen, aber doch ganz in Ordnung.
