I’m a solo traveler and stayed 3 nights at Qoo, check in at 4pm, smooth and fast, I stayed in semi-private bed at 7th floor (female only floor) it has a curtain so basically it’s just like a room to myself, I loved it. The room, shower, toilet is very clean and has everything that I need (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, towel, tissue), they provide simple breakfast, bread with coffee or tea at 3rd floor/ reception area but I never had one because I left mostly at 6ish in the morning everyday. Qoo is connected with elevator which also can go directly to Osaka metro and ground which is convenient. Basically my stay at Qoo was great and I would come back if I visit Osaka next time

I stayed in a semi private room, and it was honestly brilliant. More hostels should do that, cause it was so nice to be able to have your own space, but not have to buy a single room. The other facilities were nice and clean. I also loved that I was invited to join on a night out when I checked in.

The staff was very nice but the semi private room wasn’t so semi private, it was next to the community bathrooms and toilets three feet away. Just a tiny curtain separating the bed and the bathroom. The place had a horrible smell of body odor that couldn’t be identified where it was coming from. It was on top of the subway station and the neighborhood was less sanitary than you would expect from Japan. It actually was the only place I have visited in Japan where I saw homeless people and lots of trash on the street. As well, the people sharing the hostel were walking around in their underwear and looked strung out. We booked two nights but decided to leave as soon as possible the next morning after the first night and never look back. If you like loud and smelly and bright lights flashing on your eyes all night long, then this is the place for you.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Qoo, the hostel is situated right above an exit of the train station making it extremely convenient. The hostel is located in a central area, less than 10 minutes away from Dotombori and many malls. The hostel is clean and the bathrooms on each floor are in great condition. Stayed in a twin semi private room and it was clean and there was enough space to put our luggage. There is a hook with coat hangers which is good. The hostel provides hairdryers and straighteners which are really useful!

Love the fact that the hotel was right at the train station. Super convenient to move around. Also kirinji ramen was right across the road. Super easy to find good food. Would’ve liked it if the water pressure in the shower was stronger though. Overall, amazing place to stay at. Friendly and helpful staff!

It was your standard hostel. Somewhat loud, small and a bit inconvenient. I stayed in a all women’s dorm. The lights are all connected therefore you cannot shut the lights off in your space until lights out. Which meant that when women would come in after lights out, they would turn them on to see. Therefore the lights went on in our personal space.

It’s near streets with a lot of merch, so decent location if you’re into anime & manga. Otherwise, I’d recommend staying elsewhere closer to a subway station. On another note, I didn’t think much of the comments on the smell of the place, but woooooweeee it absolutely smells like feet! This was the only hostel that didn’t require us to leave our shoes at the door and wow does it make a difference.
