1- this hotel is hard to find, Mr. google was confused at about halfway there. asked 3 different people's help finally find the hotel. 2- receptionist were speak no English, perhaps I should be more prepared with my Japanese. 3- check-in is 3 pm, check-out is 10 am ( I think is too early for check out). 4- my room have a tiniest bathroom I have ever seen. 5- the breakfast was just a continental breakfast. 6- no closet in the room to hang clothes. 7- hotel location is definitely not in a family-friendly neighborhood

I love food. Now, usually (at least in America), when an inexpensive hotel says "continental breakfast," you expect a little stand with some bland-tasting muffins and an old, bubbling coffee maker. Not so at R & B. The service is wonderful, and they will greet you upon seeing you, in the morning, saying "ohaiyougazaimasu" when you come downstairs for breakfast. The food is a selection of freshly baked goods, hot soups, coffee and boiled eggs seasoned through the shell (no salt required). I also like cleanliness, and lots of amenities. The room is very cleanly, and, although a little small, it makes up for it in what's offered: you get a bathtub and shower, bidet toilet, A/C, a small desk, fridge, TV (you must pay for cable; in Japanese), and a large black-out window overlooking the city. The location is also very convenient, and Umeda Station is only a ten-minute walk away (less if you fast walk), and there's also quite a few shopping arcades you can go shopping at or go to grab a bite to eat at authentic Japanese, or even foreign, eateries. Not to mention, there's also a Donquijote with tax-free shops inside! P.S. The staff mostly speaks Japanese, but one could speak English when I was there. Even so, they will accommodate you as best they can. There's even an information sheet in English. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to stay somewhere affordable, and, at the same time, not have to sleep in a capsule hotel or settle for somewhere less comfortable.

I booked a single room and was a little concerned about bed size. I needn't have worried, the room and bed size were very good against the typical room size in Japan. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was pretty modern and there is a convenience store right next door. The location is pretty close to Umeda stations where there are plenty of shopping and dining options. There are two routes through the covered arcades (just south of Don Quijote store) that make it pretty easy to get to. The are some love hotels in the area, but it is perfectly safe.

Amenities are good as per any other R&B Hotel but this branch is located very far from train stations, in a rather shady neighbourhood. Not recommended unless you are travelling very lightly and do not need to travel to station much. If you just intend to explore around central Osaka for a day or two, then it should suffice. Note also that the WiFi in this particular R&B was terrible. I had trouble accessing Google Maps, Hyperdia and other necessary sites for the trip.

Hotel was okay overall. Room was very small and cramped, only provide a stool for sitting, so not great for using a computer for a long time. Wifi was inconsistent, which was frustrating. Breakfast was basically several varieties of bread and soup from a dispenser. Simple, but would stay again if the price was right. Hotel and room were both very clean.

It comes with free breakfast, so don't expect much. Clean and comfort. The only thing I don't like is the way they placed the lighting. There's only 1 light in the room which is at one corner of the wall (and of course 1 in the toilet too). It's not that dark but it is also not that bright. Somehow your eyes will get used to the lighting condition. Overall, it was good, expect for the lighting.

The hotel is located 7-min walk from Higashi Umeda Subway Station. The room is clean but the facilities are basic. The downside is there is no wifi in the room but you can detect a free wifi network in the hotel lobby. The good thing about the hotel is there is free breakfast providing buns, crossant, eggs, rolls, soup, juice and coffee and tea. It's basic but the buns and rolls are fresh. It's a good stay if you would like to take the morning bus to the airport.
